Hello, I am writing from Panama and I work in the design of water treatment plants. I am interested in sizing equipment to dose 0.3 mg/L of liquid polymer with a concentration of 0.1% for a flow of 76 million liters per day

Hi Carlos. In our approach you'll have to break down a few details. For the sake of a quick response, we'll provide some numbers in imperial units. We assume a day in this context is 24 hours 76,000,000 LPD = 20,079,260 GPD (836,636 GPH) To dose 0.3mg/L of a 0.1% polymer solution into 20,079,260 GPD you need... 0.251 GPH of neat polymer and 251 GPH of dilution water to create a 0.1% solution strength. So you'll need a neat polymer pump that can dose roughly 0.1 - 0.5 GPH. To do this you could use a polymer batching system or an inline preparation system like the one in the video. You can contact areynolds@clearwaterind.com if you'd like to review our equipment for your application.
