I have a nice big yard with space on the side too. The side yard it's just sitting there looking boring..I want to use that space too..the side yard has a slope which iam thinking of removing or adding dirt to level. After that iam gonna lay down concrete to use that space too. However, now iam debating between gravel and concrete for the side yard space ( 15ft from house to fence and 60ft long.)...my only concern is gravel getting stuck under shoes and bringing it into the house...I have very nice plank vinyl flooring.. we won't be taking shoes off to go into house.

Hey Marco, The gravel we used is fairly large 1-2 inches or so. Maybe something like that would help stop the tracking in of gravel. Hope your project goes well! Thx for watching!

I see some black strip in between the rocks and the grass. Are those something you put to keep the rocks in its place? or it might just be some of the weed barrier showing?
@Housebarons
3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kali, There is landscape fabric under the rocks. That black strip is metal edging to keep the rocks from migrating. Thx fir watching!

Nice job! We have a gutter drainage that’ in a similar position as yours. Where did you end up angling the drainage so it’s not in the way?
@Housebarons
3 жыл бұрын
Hey Michtta, Thx! The drainage goes under the sidewalk slab closest to the driveway. We were able to bury it in the gravel base prior to pouring each concrete slab -a lot easier that way. Once it reaches the yard the water comes up and out through a pop-up drain. Thanks for watching!

Hey HNA, They are spaced 12” between each. My daughter designed it and said that if she did it again 10” might be more ideal. Judgement call. Thanks for the question.
