You can be a wall that is a rock ice type. Simply have an ability that restores hp to full upon switch and legendary stats, and a decent healing move. Then make the lore such that that Rock/Ice wall is a pretender god with one trick that makes it seem like it is godly, and that is massive secret healing and that it stole power from an actually defensive legendary Pokemon. The well-known weaknesses of Rock/Ice type prevent it from actually being that good, akin to Hero Zamazenta.

Hoopa seems to be a wallbreaker despite its typing. On paper, its stats make it look like it should be permabanned from OU so that makes up for it having relatively weak moves and decent but not amazing typing (not bad offensively but only has its psychic immunity going for it defensively). Mamoswine is a wallbreaker because of its typing. Ice/Ground STAB is one of the hardest combos to switch into. Mamos stats are pretty fair tho. If it were much faster, it would easily find itself in OU more often than not.

Dragalge is such a flavorfully done wallbreaker. Adaptability on it makes lots of sense. It started as a ambush based water/poison type disguising itself as rotten kelp. By becoming dragon/poison (a worse typing compared to its pre evolution), it keeps its water resist, more than doubles its damage output against the surrounding water types, & no longer needs to rely strictly on that to feed. 252+ SpA Dragalge Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Deoxys-Defense: 67-81 (22 - 26.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery. 252+ SpA Adaptability Dragalge Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Deoxys-Defense: 86-102 (28.2 - 33.5%) -- 88.2% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery. Dragalge would need 146 base special attack without adaptability to deal this much damage. That's an insane boost of damage. Anyway, pokemon is LOADED with wallbreakers. Kommo-0, Dragonite, Flapple, Goodra, Hydreigon, Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt, Azumarill, Gallade (Gen 9 gave it Sharpness lol), Flutter Mane, Chandelure, Aegislash, Basculegion, Ceruledge, Armorouge, Palafin, Clawitzer, Gyarados, Araquanid, Nidoking, Excadrill, Lando-T, Torterra (Gen 9 buffs were legit huge), Diggersby, all forms of Volcarona, Minior, Hisui Arcanine, Kleavor, Hisui Sam etc. It's such a fun archtype to play.

Its bizzare feeling describing Tauros as a wallbreaker. Tauros is defined by its fragility, its needed for so many endgames (barring some pocket zam team) You just described general offensive mons rather than something approaching a tool to break walls. Especially including something like persian feels bizzare when it struggles to do anything against most things with recovery when they are at full health. Its very much a cleaner. There are those tools though. Physlax is a great example. Exeggutor is a great example, being able to end some defensive key point with sleep or explosion to open up the rest of the team.

One of my favorite quirky/niche wallbreakers in Gen 4 was Hustle Togekiss. Togekiss was OU, but it was almost exclusively used as a special attacker, taking advantage of Serene Grace for a 60% flinch chance and using Thunder Wave to get enemies locked in a para-flinch hax situation. Which was quite frustrating to play against, but could do basically nothing to Blissey and other dedicated Special Walls. With only 50 base attack, nobody really thought it would be a physical attacker, but with Hustle adding a 50% boost to all Physical moves you could pull off some really stupid stuff. A Hustle Choice Band Focus Punch OHKO's Blissey and Tyranitar who expect to be able to come in and walk all over you. Choice Band Hustle STAB Extremespeed ends up being as powerful as Lucario's Extremespeed after one Swords Dance. You could also make use of Hustle with Life Orb for a mixed set, using Extremespeed to 2HKO checks like Blissey and Zapdos while also being able to shut down a lot of common setup sweepers unexpectedly, while still leveraging Togekiss's high special stat to clean up with Aura Sphere and Air Slash or Flamethrower.

As Reverend put it, Gen 1 Machamp seems like the ideal wall breaker but it really just lied on its resume. Most of the time its fighting STAB is getting blanked by psychic types, and even if you did predict a psychic switch in by using body slam then you're just a worse Snorlax. But at least it's bait for the counter trick, I guess. There's a reason it's considered PU despite everything.

i love using wallbreakers, they're the most high risk, high reward pokemon that massively increase the skill ceiling (while lowering the skill floor lol), but there's a problem here. the ability to wallbreak is a fundamentally overpowered mechanic, and traditionally that was balanced heavily with low speed, poor bulk or prediction reliance (like crawdaunt, medicham, slaking etc). but the further you get through this video, the longer the list gets for each gen, and the more normal the pokemon look. every viable pokemon is either a wall or a wallbreaker at this point, and old school wallbreakers are garbage since they have a ton of drawbacks while doing the same damage as everything else

Kartana is so funny, would be banned instantly if it didn't have such a crap offensive typing and low base power moves. Still silly to be hitting things with a 181 base attack stat, hope it comes back with the rest of the ultra beasts soon

Crawdaunt is my favorite too, I have a sort of ptsd from Sableye on the battlespot when prankster still worked on dark types (Sad face)

I feel like you really could have dived deeper in to lucarios matchups against the heavier characters in smash. Im afraid this video can’t be considered a complete comprehensive take on this subject without that.

Machamp is not a wall breaker for OU, theres a reason Machamp is not a common counter to Snorlax. Theres not a good fighting move to use and you better not even think about throwing it out against any of the big 3

Kartana is my personal favorite wall breaker for two generations and actually was what helped shape my team to the way it is today but with Flutter Mane as its spiritual successor

The older I get, the more I realize how much of a blessing kingambit is to the gen 9 ou meta. I hate him, but he feels like the only thing that can stop the insane chaos and cheese that this meta constantly keeps throwing up. Honestly think the meta would be so much worse without him, and at this point, he's just as core to gen 9 as tera is.

Melmetal looks goofy and that's epic. Just a blob that with some cogs that also went to the gym. Trully inspired

Unseen fist can be used effectively against uturn opponents if it catches them with their pants down.
