I went to Walla Walla to visit a friend of mine in the prison. I came from Texas. Yes, as someone mentioned, there was some homeless. Yes the wine has fueled the fire in people's pockets. BUT! the town is beautiful, so sophisticated, but small down hometown country. the homes are gorgeous and cute. They even pay homage to the hometown boy Adam West. it was awesome. I found a new way to fall in love with Washington state.

I lived there for many years, and there's no denying it's beautiful looking. Unfortunately there is a very dark, negative culture there that is also undeniable. In general people are very unfriendly and sometimes actively hostile for no apparent reason. The school system is a true embarrassment as well, so if you go, just go to visit. Living there is nightmarish.

Why do you say this? I keep hearing it's a dark place to live.
