Thank you!!! I am just getting started and looking to start small and you helped me out BIG TIME!!! I am impressed with what that did for a phone setup.

What do you think is it better than the microphone that comes on the phone

@@Erickthedreamgiver Oh, no way. The microphone on my Note 8 is way better.

Great video! I have the same kit from Walmart however my mic seems to be very staticky. My guess is it could be from the dongle having a bad connection but nothing seemed to work. Any tips would be great!😁

Same here, I was trying to use with my phone and the red light wouldn’t come on when switched to “phone” but of course it would come on when switched to camera.

I had this same issue I’m wondering if it’s because of the toggle

@@zetastarlingg I watched a video from Philip Lemoine who said that along with the dongle you have to use the Rode SC7 coiled patch cable in order for it to work and not the black cable that comes with the mic. I just ordered one from Amazon.

Thanks for the guide. I noticed that my mic is not working when used with my phone. Is it suppose to show light when connected to the phone?

Weird. I don’t believe so. I haven’t used the mic in over a year, but I do remember there being a battery I had to install. Have you tried using the battery and turning it on?

My son does lives on multiple sites. I want to set him up with a starter kit. He walks around a lot so I am not sure what to get him. Maybe just a Bluetooth hidden mic and a steady cam device. I am lost but I do the occasional vlogging video. So maybe we can trade off depending on our needs. Any suggestions??

Great review! I just saw it last night. There were others that had more. but you cant beat those prices, especially as a new vlogger.... or whatever. Thank you for you're input, I really hope you weren't paid for that reveiw. Since I saw the rig, ive been asking myself "what's the catch" I already have studio lights. Would you recommend those for vlogs? or stick to the ring/led/etc.?

It was definitely not a paid review, as I found it by happenstance. For moving vlogs outdoors, I’d definitely stick to filming in the day and learning how to adjust to the sun. If you need a light source, Neweer makes a budget light panel that has a hot shoe attachment. For indoor vlogs, ring/led is great, but a soft box is my preferred lighting now. I spent 40$ on a soft box set with a led adjustable bulb that has definitely improved my lighting. You don’t have to go expensive to get a great look!

Awesome video good information. I am a Videographer for my Paranormal Channel and I use multiple setups. This would be nice to have for a quick video shoot of locations.

Hey buddy, thanks for the video but for future reference tell people more efficient and effective in your endeavors you may want to check out the product first and understand the product before you try to help others understand it. There actually are three light settings after you turn it on you hit it three times and it will change the brightness and I highly recommend the light being kept plugged in because the battery drains quick so you may not have gotten the full light experience. I actually bought one a few days ago

it was an unboxing on his own accord. seems like he did this on a whim and learned what he was doing with this particular set up as he was filming. SHEEEESH.
