Watching the scenes where these two were homies makes the outcome so damn depressing. 😢

Imagine if Jesse didn't leave the key there, both of them could just have nice meal, hot bath, some shuteyes, then make more stuff without all the hassle. They could've made killing out of this, then part their separate ways. But all that mess over the dead battery induced by Jesse's incompetence. Talk about the butterfly effect.

Most don’t realize Walt’s shift towards how he treated Jesse wasn’t just towards him but pretty much everybody else. Walt just saw other people as a means to meet his own ends and gain his own benefit. It’s one of the what you could say ‘narcissistic’ aspects of him

Absolute nonsense that Walt used the median weights of the bags for this calculation instead of the mean. As such a proficient scientist Walt’s character should never make such a mistake. The advantage that median typically provides over mean is it excludes outliers, which is useful for statistical analyses. But for this calculation, Walt would want to include outliers because they will still be selling each bag at the same rate, scaling with weight, regardless of whether that weight is unusually high or low. He should want to account for every pound. Using median here makes his final figure a rough estimate which is vulnerable to hidden outliers, as opposed to an exact calculation which takes outliers into account.

Why didn’t they just siphon a bit of gas to go into the generator to power the battery for a bit?
@fictionnerd78

Fair question, but from what I remember from the episode, they didn’t think that was necessary. They thought the gas would just be able to power the generator as needed. This curveball came entirely out of nowhere for them. But I do need to rewatch the episode and the show, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
