Thank you Sootch. I watched several videos on how to disassemble my Walther P22Q. All of them showed grasping the takedown tabs between thumb and forefinger. That never worked for me. Your recommendation to use my thumbnails, pressing down on the top of the tabs worked immediately. Thank you Sir. The rest was easy.

Without this video I wouldn’t have known about the thread protector or the slick trick using a 3/16 dowel to guide the spring. In my case I used a 3/16” drill bit. Worked beautifully! Thank you...😊

Thank you so much for this video! My sister sold me her P22 and I received it today in 8 pieces. It was totally field stripped for shipment.Through your video, I was able to fully assemble, strip and reassemble with no problems at all. I also bought the CCI mini mag rounds to start with. They came highly recommended and I was happy to hear you say you prefer them. I have to go find your video on how to clean my gun now. Thank you so much for the time and effort it took you to make this video. :)

Excellent field strip instructional video. Very well done and helped me a lot, I just bought this gun and ran 100 mini mags through it tonight with no problems whatsoever. I used your vid to field strip it and clean it. I like to keep all my guns extremely clean at all times. Plus, I like cleaning them as much as firing, I'm not really sure why. Again, very good video.

Great video Sir. My youngest and I shot this weekend with several handguns. I cleared all of the weapons and went into the cooler for a sandwithch. When I came back he had taken down this pistol with no problem. He then proceeded to inform me that he downloaded your vid on his phone.

You can also push your guide rod all the way through the spring, then push the guide rod through the slide. You then hold the slide and guide rod as you put it back onto the body.

just got this one of these the other day and have already had tons of issue with it. its the new P22Q model and the first time at the range it jammed up a LOT and had tons of ejecting issues with 3 different types of ammo. I might have just gotten a bad egg but either way its under warranty and I trust them to get it working right :) This was a GREAT video also! had some issues with the spring but the guide rod tricked work wonders. thanks!

great video..concise, to the point, clearly stated.. . In my opinion the longer dowel you used (instead of the shorter one supplied by Walther ) makes it easier to reassemble the weapon...looking forward to more of your videos

It's a scaled down version of the P99, 9mm. One of the most interesting pistols on the market. You know Carl Walther would love this firearm. It's accurate and very inexpensive to shoot. You're right about some feed and blowback issues depending on the rounds used. The CCI's are a good choice, or any super-high quality ammo should do the trick. A fine weapon and another fine video Don! Smith and Wesson is involved with these pistols as well as other Walther designs. A great joint venture.

Great video which helped me my first time. Mine won’t shoot any of the non copper coated ammo but I’m also finding it isn’t just my gun. My 70’s model ruger 10/22 has trouble with the crappy lead stuff. I know it’s all lead but for some reason they copper coating really helps with feeding

So that's what the plastic dowel was for... Slightly less of a pita but at least better. My thumb tabs went back up inadvertently during reassembly, after messing with it for 10 minutes I noticed it... Shouldn't have to fiddle with it that much imo. I would gladly buy a captured guide rod/spring if available. I had two Beretta 92/96's that I could field strip blindfolded in less than 5 seconds. This one ? Yeah, Facebook doesn't like cursing so............thanks for the tips..
