Hey friend, just wanted to let you know that the word “epitome” isn’t pronounced as it looks, it’s pronounced “eh-PIT-o-me”. I was humiliated once for pronouncing it wrong so I wanted to save you that pain ❤ Great video as always!

MyHouse.WAD was groundbreaking not only for the liminal space scene, but also for how much it broke things that were seem to be impossible with the DOOM engine.

For as oversaturated as liminal locations are, virtual liminal worlds don't get enough attention. Certain games just have an auroa to them that cannot be replicated and there's been plenty of games I've played that gave that give off the vibe of liminacy perfectly with dream emulater being the best example given its quite literally based on the developer's dreams so that understands the very dream like feeling that comes with these places

Currently reading it for the first time after owning the book for literally over a decade (English is not my first language, it was very intimidating). It's far creepier than I thought. Really, really amazing book! Still can't believe I had one of the ancestors of liminal horror sitting untouched on my shelf all those years. xD

The 3 games you covered really fit in the liminality genre and they look really interesting (i've known about LSD Simulator for a while but never tried it). Hope to see more videos about similar games (and maybe some movies with liminal imagery/themes like Vanilla Sky)

2020 really did change my way of thinking when commuting anywhere. I now actively look for spots or locations that look Liminal. Be they an empty parking lot at night, a vacant aisle at the store, a street with no cars present, or just any random spot my brain even remotely interprets as Liminal.

You picked 3 of my favorite games for this video. (I wish I could own LSD Dream Emulator but its like $1,000, and I've had Coin Game since early access started which its earlier updates made it a lot more liminal because of its lack of places to go and buildings completely boarded up but you could still hear those same sounds coming from inside.) Also I've got a suggestion for another game that has this same feeling its called Tower Unite and I'd highly recommend looking into the story of what it is how it came about its old ARG when it was a mod in Gary's Mod and so very much more.

So fun fact- the textures in LSD change depending on how you interact with the dream. You got the sexual textures! All the japanese words on the walls are describing vague sexual situations, uncomfortable things and other such sexually related things!

Liminal space is similar to the space between thoughts. It can make some people very uncomfortable. To some it can be quite distressing to pause the thought stream and hear the silence in your mind.
