@@Sidekix9o What they're saying is that it still requires effort to do so. Just finding someone's center of gravity doesn't mean you can grab and flip them as if they were weightless. Those exercises do work because gravity exists, always pulling in one direction, which is what those muscles are fighting against when you make them move. Just pick up a dumbbell and try it instead of being some kind of off-brand, armchair physics professor.

Using a cloth belt loop over the thumb is better for full range pronation and supination. It helps isolate the pronation and supination better, leaving you with more consistent results. Consistant results help you track progress better. You can attach the cloth belt loop / judo belt onto your dumbbell for pronation, but the supination works better with a pully system that has the cable coming down from above. That way, you can supinate down and away from the machine and pronate up twords the cealing. Hypertrophy is key, so dont just do a ton of volume. Use a weight that you can hit failure within a decent hypertrophy rep range on 3 to 4 sets. No muscle is special, so doing crazy volume won't help you continue to increase muscle and strength in the long run.
@edgaredge3971
5 ай бұрын
For clarity, for supination, the belt must loop over the thumb, go down across the palm, and under twords the back of the hand. With Belt supination, you are pulling the weight down with the bottom of your hand from the high pully. You start palm down and supinate so your palm faces away from the pully, effectively pulling the force twords the ground. Pronation is easy. The belt loops over the thumb and down the back of the hand. If you attached it to a dumbbell or low pully. You are starting palm up with some tension and pronating your hand so your thumb is angled up twords the ceiling while lifting the weight off the ground.
@edgaredge3971

Wrist rotations can not be performed with dumbbells. The weight is on both side of your hand so it cancels out, you have to somehow get the weight to be mostly on one side, for example by using a kettlebell. If you don't believe me, try it with the heaviest dumbbell you can hold, and then just with your hand, rotation will feel pretty much the same.

Wouldn't it be better to use keetlebelts instead of rotations for supinator and pronator? I feel like doing rotations with dumbbells isn't as good cause the distribution of the weight on the dumbbell makes the exercise easier.
