I have owned the original for years and played it, even put it into a spreadsheet to play. It is a phenomenal game and is a must for any collector.

I am really starting playing proper wargames coming from heavier euros etc and this is glorious! Just start with engagement scenarios and I am enjoying every new lesson !! Cant wait to reach bigger battles!

They should have given you a second empty box... so you will have a place to put the counter trays once you punch everything out! heh ;-)

They sell 2" deep heavy duty blank white boxes right on the GMT website; I use them for exactly that - storing counter trays.

@@egarvue Yeah, it's nice that they offer that. :-) I was happy to see that they started offering 3" boxes for certain games... I bought a few of those because the 2" boxes were just a bit too small to handle everything and the trays. The newer, thicker boxes were much appreciated. :-)

I'm looking forward to picking this game up, but I don't like that the map is viewed South to North (Upside Down). I wish it was oriented more traditionally with South at the bottom, North to the top, Japan on the Left/West side of the map.
