The length of the intro in itself is already a documentary 😆

I would have loved to watched all this video, but the audio quality was so muffled (due to age?) That I couldn't understand a thing that was said. It's too bad that the subtitles were not available

I think it must be on your end. I'm listening on a mid range phone and it's clear as a bell. I hope you get it sorted.

Man this should come with a disclaimer that much has been learned since this production. Find any video with John parshall in it who wrote a book shattered sword on this battle. Things like the Japanese didn't have the strike force on deck at the time of them being attacked amd destroyed.

❤❤❤❤ John Parshall. Have you checked out Seth and Capt Bill Todi's Unauthorized history of the Pacific? He's on there a lot and that is incredible.

The Japanese bastardized the Bushido Code and changed it to "death before surrender", which is nonsense. When you no longer have the means to resist, it is permissable to surrender. That's one reason the war in Western Europe was completely different than in the Pacific Theater. The German military knew when to surrender. They weren't stupid, but their leaders were insane. The Japanese death cult culture cost them many thousands of lives. The Kamikazes, and the senseless banzai charges and the senseless sacrifices of the Japanese fleet at Leyte Gulf. Imagine a Captain telling his crew that, "We are going to be sunk. That is our mission", and sending the Yamato to Okinawa with fuel for only a 1-way trip, changed nothing but the body count, but it may have prevented the use of the 2 nuclear weapons and those deaths as well. Millions of people died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and in the firebombings, who didn't need to die. After the battle for Midway was lost, they would've been wise to sue for peace. Before the hostilities began, Yamamoto told the Emperor that he couls only promise victories for 6 monthe. After that he couldn't promise anything. Midway was just about 6 months after Pearl Harbor. He was right. They could've asked for an armistice while they still had an intact country and their national dignity.
