Could be, mate. Although there is the rainforest outside Sydney where they film I'm A Celebrity! Mind you, that would be very reminiscent of Predator. 🤔💪💪💪🥃🦘🦘🦘

Well, it could be. It's a scenario we all love. Gung-ho soldiers going up against something far more deadly and ruthless than they are. 💪💪💪

Maggie Smith - real distinguished member of the UK thespians - passed at the age of 89, just three months short of 90: younger people might know her best from Harry Potter films, but she had done so much during her long career that went back to the 1950s She received numerous awards during her career - including two Oscars - the first of which she received in 1969 for her starring role in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. Among her many roles, she was also one of the main characters in Clash of the Titans, the epic fantasy adventure from 1981 - now that's a merit to have! I think I'm going to raise a few glasses for Maggie - perhaps Kilty will do the same and do a video when he finds the time🥃

I had just recently watched Sister Act where Maggie plays the head nun of this financially struggling nunnery in a hard American neighborhood; she's having her personal crisis - being burned out and thinking that she's just a fossil who is no use to anyone - then she gets in her nunnery this old mobster girlfriend played by Whoopi Goldberg who needs to stay there for some time in witness protection. Whoopi of course is not used to being a nun, has trouble adjusting and breaks the strict rules, but her unorthodox style actually reinvigorates those nuns around her, eventually even Maggie's character. That final scene in particular where Whoopi leads the nuns choir into singing a rendition of "I Will Follow Him" with Maggie happily listening in the audience full of new energy was really touching.

Definitely sad news. She was a brilliant actress with decades of eminent performances on stage, small & big screen. Her legacy continues with two acting sons and a vast array of film and TV roles that will live on.

If this film is anything like the scenario you laid out - an a.i. war droid learning soldiers' tactics from a group of expendables - they've already got my money! It would make an awesome sequel to Hardware.

That's my suspicion, anyway. Could be massively wrong, of course. There's not really a lot to go on just yet.

Oh he's perfect as Jack Reacher. I like the Tom's movies but you have to just pretend he's playing someone else. I mean he's almost the total opposite of the character Lee Child describes.

Totally unrealistic war movies? How about John Wayne's "The Green Berets". Far too light hearted and cheerful for the horror of Vietnam.

Yep, can't argue with that. Clint's Heartbreak Ridge, although enjoyable, is also a lousy depiction of the US Recon Marines, who are the elite of the Corps. Eastwood has them as lazy layabouts flouting command and having to be drummed into shape by Gunny Highway - when they would already be highly motivated and skilled as members of the Recon Battalion. The Army read the script and turned it down, so Clint took it to the Marines. I'll be forever stunned they agreed to back it. Cheers mate 👍

@@Kilt-ManChris It must really annoy guys in the military, especially elite corps, when films depict them as lazy and undisciplined. Might work in a comedy like "Stripes", or if the guys were forced into their position like "The Dirty Dozen".

Expendables 3 was ok definitely a comedown from 2 or 1 but watchable if only for three things banderas snipes and Gibson who steal the movie from the rest of the cast but saying that ford seems to be having fun in a small roll
