Back when I started with DCS, there was no manual for the P51 out yet and the autostart for the module was bugged. So I decided to try it myself, no manuals, no tutorials. Took me 2 hours to find the correct procedure (or mostly correct). Now I could start it in 45 seconds or less :D

Bro..... The first time I played IL-2 after playing War Thunder for so long I was like WTF 🤣🤣🤣😂 and looked exactly like this trying to get off the runway.. I remember sitting in that HE-111 and seeing all the knobs, switches and levers and then the bombing sight has to be calibrated🤦♂ I quickly learned that Even "Sim" in war thunder isn't simulator 😅 2:55 "Pretty sizable fire"

@SauerkrautIsGood

Ironically, there are actually things that War Thunder simulates with more detail than DCS "under the hood", such as missile seeker behavior and countermeasure interaction. This is mostly due to DCS being a 13 year old product at its core. That's just one of the things that Eagle Dynamics haven't gotten around to improving (yet?), whereas modern missiles are a very recent addition to War Thunder

@@ostlandia There's a decent sale on right now, most war birds are $25. F-16 is 30% off down to $55. Sales are quite frequent, and whatever you spend on most modules you get equivalent "air miles" as store credit. At the weekend I'm picking up the Spitfire and Normandy Map, giving me enough store credit for Heatblurs Eurofighter when they're done making it. Trials are also just to see if you like it before you commit, not to truly learn and master it lol. There are also cheaper low fidelity modules more fitting for mouse and keyboard users as the cockpit isn't usable, everything must be keybound

the physics in DCS feel very bad for some reason
@cree71cjm
12 күн бұрын
That's because the physics in DCS are based on wind tunnel performance numbers and therefor feel real. If you've only played video games like WT rather than Sims, like DCS, then the physics will throw you off a bit, but are still modeled more accurately then any other game or Sim on the market.
