I had a guinea pig named Tyr, his whole litter was named after norse gods, but he was the toughest one, spent his first night in this world alone hidden in a bush. When he died this winter we built him a pyre, and as he burned away the song 'Tyr' was played, it was really quite fitting. Miss you little buddy.

Six years ago I found this album in a random way in youtube, I couldn't imagine how my life will change since then. Wardruna is not just a Nordic Folk band, their music guide you in a journey across yourself and changes your vision about everything.

The Visuals are perfect for Wardruna... dark, foreboding, ancient. Excellent post!
@akselkarlsson5229
7 жыл бұрын
Probably not ancient since cameras have only been around for a short while in terms of history... And i wouldn't call them dark either, both the clouds and sand dunes are very well lit by the sun... And i would only call the visuals foreboding if you are very afraid of BBC nature.
@Northern_Frost
7 жыл бұрын
I was referring to Wardruna although Mountains, rivers and dunes have been around forever hence "Ancient". BTW the definition of Foreboding is " A sense of impending evil or misfortune, an evil omen; a portent.", so the visuals combined with the music gives a feel of something that may occur ...

Greit! This reminds me in a way of the contemporary, Mexican band Tribu, which I was fortunate enough to catch at Muséo Nacional de Antrolopgía in Mexico City in Dec. '96. I bought atape and a CD. We had no idea who they were, or that it was a band, all dressed up us Azteks, playing rhythmic, Aztek music as it is believed it was played back when - 500 years earlier - before Hernán Cortés defeated and killed Moctezuma II/Motecuhzoma Xocoyotzin, June 25, 1520. 500 years ago this year.... /J, Sweden
