I haven't felt like this since Wotlk soundtracks - it's been almost 6 years since I've felt chills in my back just from listning a soundtrack. THIS ONE HAS SOUL, if you can even put it this way...

No matter how bad this expansion may have been, leveling through these zones and hearing this music was one of the best experiences I've had within the game, WoD was truly epic. Until the content drought, but I digress.

This song MAKES WOD. It literally embodies not just the expansion but the entire theme of the game and in particular the Orcs as a race.

i don't think that's so. i think it's more about the fact that it's amazing by itself, like you could make a movie about toilet water dramatically splashing your butt and it would still be epic. nothin yells "orc" to me here, could've been about humans just as well. just my opinion.
@Roamingeast

@@DreamWarriorSleeps nah, the use of simple drum beat combined with horn. Its always been the orc thing. just look at the original orgrimmar music. Human music in game was always presented as stereotypical 'medieval' music with heavy reliance on string and harmony.

@@Roamingeast You're right about drums and horns. But what I failed to deliver was my thought that the melody was so epic it could be applied to any other context. My bad. Anyways, this is great.

@@Roamingeast I sort of agree with DreamWarriorSleeps, but I see this soundtrack more of a zone theme more than a specific race theme.

Iron dawn is as much horde music as khadgar's plan is alliance. And both songs are the living soul of wod music, briliant themes alltogether. To this day I think wod gad the best opening quest in any expansion and the whole vibe was spot on.

Despite the large shit stain this expansion ended up being, you have to admit that Warlords' questing and music was absolutely amazing. The end game killed it however.

I can listen to this epic music over and over on my walks and never get sick of it. I've yet to hear another MMORPG or any game really with a better collection of amazing songs. The Final Fantasy series is probably the next best thing after WoW music.

It was one of the weakest expansions but sound track is superb. And WoD intro is a masterpiece which I watch from time to time. Garrosh Hellscream was the best Warchief Horde ever had. I cant wait to play as Grommash Hellscream when Warcraft III Reforged hits on January 28. For The Horde!

@DarkMage501
5 жыл бұрын
The VERY start is tuba and bass trombone then it sounds like a stopped French horn comes in, but it is probably a specific rare instrument used just for effects. There are an array of hunting horns that are still used in soundtracks, this is probably the case here. I've seen french horns imitate hunting horns but it could go either way.

Sounds too serene, noble and majestic for the Iron horde brutes. I always imagine it's rather tribute to the brave Alliance (and Horde, alright...) soldiers fighting them.

No picture it this way. An uncorrupted draenor the first thing you hear a beautiful draenor where it’s still in it’s primal original state and we finally for the first time ever get to see it and the epic music just plays. That’s how I see it
