Holy poop, that’s it - my dream guitar colour - Goblin Green flake!!!! Applied to the front of a Tele Cabronita body, tinted clear varnished back, bound with parchment front and f-hole binding and Cabronita scratchplate, Filterton in the neck, Tele bridge, a full C traditional compound radius on a slightly flamey satin maple neck and board, upside down/ left handed headstock. Oh, and a string-thru Bigsby. Not a complicated recipe surely... Never had the courage to ask what this object of irrational desire might cost to build though. One day ...

The Goblin Flake is the best bright green finish Warmoth has offered to date. I have a Tele body in it and it's gorgeous in person! I've always wondered if the reduced popularity of "green" guitars is due to a combination of most production guitars using very dull and dark greens and/or if the higher prevalence of various degrees of color blindness among males, who are the primary purchasers of guitars and parts, results in greens simply not being as attractive to a big swath of the market? Either way, I think the Goblin Flake deserves more attention from players looking for a bright, energetic green finish!

I’ve got a green bass, but no green guitars (though I’m refinishing an old harmony guitar that I converted to 15-tet in green sparkle once it warms up a bit). Really just because green isn’t common to find stock, and I haven’t done many of my own builds in solid colors. I’ve had a few green guitars on my wishlist of things to make for a few years now, but they’re all so involved (example one: shamrock green strat with a Kahler, a sustainer in the neck position, and a coil tapped tele pickup in the bridge position, with a Roland GK kit installed, along with a piezo in the neck pocket, a phase reversal switch on the middle pickup, and an S1 switch to get all possible series and parallel pickup combinations. Yeah- it’s over the top. Don’t judge) that I haven’t invested the time or money into making. Personally there are few things cooler than a green guitar in my opinion

I dont yet own a green guitar. I'm more of a natural wood finish guy. However, green guitars ALWAYS catch my eye whenever I see them. From my youth I remember the color green in the eyes of certain species of dragonflies. It was an iridescent/metallic/pearlescent green. If that certain color green was offered, my order for a double Filtertron loaded Thinline Tele body (with all the comfort cuts) would go out immediately. Just sayin'.

Would love a quick video, or something on the site, helping-ly informing us which guitar bridges are used for baritones, & what gauge strings they typically take. I’m part of a FB group, who love baritones(mostly for heavier sounds), and Warmoth conversion necks come up very often, as most with a 28.625” scale tune from G standard down to F standard/ Drop E. So, I also thought about the specs for bridges as well. Especially, since it’s listed for specific tuners to not use for bari’s that Warmoth sells. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!😉👍

I’ve owned close to 100 bass guitars. One was seafoam green. After that, the only other green one is my Warmoth-bodied Goblin Flake dual P. It currently sports a Fender neck. But, after tomorrow, I’ll have a pearl blocked and bound maple Warmoth neck to mate up to it. Hopefully, this link will work and you can see a pic of the bass: www.talkbass.com/threads/warmoth-owners-club.441393/page-174#post-23888678 . Warmoth’s paint work, and construction are top notch! This bass came in at 7.8 pounds with a heavy bridge and fat finger on the headstock. It’s the 2nd lightest bass I’ve ever owned, and a keeper for life! Next.... inferno flake!
