Warren Haynes is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best musicians of our time. He has a legacy to be proud of for sure, but I can’t help feeling he deserves more recognition more fame more hit records. It saddens me to know how many Pop stars have a net worth of over $100 million and can pack concert halls on every continent yet aren’t even 10% of the Master Musician and Guitarist Warren is and has been for 30+ years. Truly an American Blues Rock icon.

I am English - and a huge fan of early Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Peter Green, Paul Kossoff & Jimmy Page. But sometimes I cannot understand why Americans don’t appreciate some of the great guitarists they have had ?!Everyone talks about SRV and EVH - but for my money the Allmans had 4 guitarists, over time, who were every bit as good! …… And Warren Haynes possibly had the best tone of any of them. His touch is just superb !!!

Warren gives me some serious fucking goosebumps with this tune. Love that, when an artist hits that 'goosebump' feeling, so damn special. Warren does it too me all the time, hes just got that kind of soul, deep, imperfect, and I love him for it.

@jaxflfreebird
10 жыл бұрын
I used to get those goosebumps when I was young but I don't know if I have had then now for many years. It used to be that a great song, or a great singer, a great tune or performance just grabbed me right down in my heart or soul. I guess I got old or seriously cynical because I can't seem to go there now. I missed being so rocked or moved by a great song. But that goosebump feeling also sort of went with a mental freeze thing, so to speak, where I almost felt I was a bit stoned, or time stood still. That's the way I remember the "goosebump" feeling. I used to wonder how much it showed when I might be around others when I'd feel that way. It was like a body orgasm, eargasm, soulgasm, heartgasm.

Just saw Warren's new band the other night. Nice outdoor show by the river. He didn't dissapoint as usual. He reminds me of Garcia in that the music just seems to ooze out of him. He is of it and it of him. Highlights were a nice "Change Is Gonna Come" the old Sam Cooke tune. "Invisible" smoked and they really stretched it out longer than I'd heard it before. "Fire In The Kitchen" was also stellar. He's withoput a doubt one of the most vital, outstanding guitarst/singers of today. Go see him!!

Jamie Lewis That's a crock of shit and you know it. Ronnie Van Zant could out sing Warren any day. Sure, Warren's a great guitarist but he's not that great a singer, IN MY OPINION, nor is he much of a songwriter. Who has the more popular and famous songs, it's Skynyrd by far. Ronnie wrote to a wide audience. Warren writes to a much smaller audience, and by audience I mean fans. Warren's fame is fed by the media these days. Ronnie had to write songs that hit people in their heart and in their soul via the radio. Really, just how many Warren Haynes solo songs get played on any radio? I'm sure it's some sort of satellite radio station that plays Warren's songs but I couldn't tell you who those entities might be.

Awesome. I don't need to comment on Warren's skills, we all know he is one of the greatest musicians of all time.. But also Matt Abts's atomic-clock precision timing and powerful attack (or whatever you call it for drums, I hope you get the point) suit this song very very well.
