The lengths you go to to fix necks and such is second to none. Patience and persistence and skill. 👌✌️🎸

This all poses some very good questions. I've got a couple of warwicks, and have a constant battle with the necks. It seems making them out of harder woods just means that if they do decide to settle in a disagreeable position just makes it a nightmare to sort them out. Softer wood like maple, I think the truss rods are doing a lot more of the work and wood gives in to them a lot more. Typically you have to set a warwick neck in a jigg to the relief you want, then cinch the truss rod down... and you've just got to hope that it is strong enough to hold the position. My experience is that often they are not!

Thanks! I have done 4 of these so far: 3 of them had a truss-rod replacemnet and are much more complex jobs. Victor...

Moral of the story....'.don't buy a Warwick'.

Had a Warwick Thumb 4 string, such a beutifull built instrument, multi laminate thru neck, but it was a shame that it had a fault. There was a slight twist/kink in the neck, from the 13th fret towards the nut. Sold it.... quite happy with my old 79 pre EB Musicman Sabre bass.

Hi Victor, can I please ask about the dreaded fret buzz! Do you consider fret buzz an issue if it is only audible when playing acoustically (non amplified) ? Thanks for all the great videos, really interesting to watch.

If you can't hear it when amplified, is it really there? Sometimes we hear things acoustically that are not all that they appear to be. I had a client in recently that bought an acoustic in with fret buzz: I could not get a buzz out of it even right in front of him/her...

My 2002 streamer lx5 is OK at the moment. We have chatted about this a while ago, the 2005 corvette has this issue but not a broken truss rod and my new to me 2003 thumb blond is twisted just around the first fret😮

Can you do this with a warwick maple neck as well🤔

You can do it with any neck but a neck without lacquer/paint is easier...
