How come Warwick recommends a 2 mm pickup height, while Fender for instance recommends 2.4 mm (on the treble side)?

I went with 2.5mm as I kept hitting the pickups at 2mm. It sounds great to me at 2.5mm so I guess it's not a hard and fast rule.

Great video and tutorial! However, when I try to turn the screw counterclockwise, the screw is actually coming out...the spring and the scale length are not changing at all, and there is no measurable difference in intonation when testing it. Is something messed up or is there something I'm missing here?

Sometimes string pressure on the saddle is stronger than the pressure produced by the spring. Therefore, the saddle stays in place, which is why the screw is coming out. Turn it a couple times, then either press on the screw itself with the screwdriver, or push the saddle itself with your fingers, so it moves to the proper location.

2mm is not enough for me with the B string on my corvette GPS 6 bubinga that B string do scratches on my pick up , cause many times hit my pups, so maybe i will lower the neck pick up lower.

Its says play open string then fret the highest octave but it looks/sounds like he's playing the harmonic not the open string - what is the correct way?

KRKozBassman fret the 12th or 24th fret, then play the harmonic above. The two tones should match. I like to do all four, 12 AND 24.... and try to get them all as spot on as possible.
