Lest I forget, the narrator forgets to add that minutes before his execution,he refused to prayed for by priest affirming that an innocent man does not need prayer of repentance. HE WAS REALLY INNOCENT!

Thanks for bringing up this sad history. If nothing, it serves as a reminder of the needless lives we have wasted in the quest for a government that works for all of us, a goal that has remained elusive to date. You would have don better to add the specific charges rought against him in both trials and go further to interview some of his colleagues still alive to corroborate or disprove these charges. With forty five years gone since this unfortunate event, your piece is deficient, in that it left us with the same unknowns we started with those many years ago.

JD Gomwalk's name will remain indelible in the annals of Plateau State for the visionary and developmental strides he took to emancipate the masses he governed, structures that are still very relevant today. The same elements that plague the nation today are the ones who condemned him for daring to break with the feudal north and its anti-minorities agenda. History is, and will be kind to him. Rest in peace Nde Gomwalk, your legacies remain true and the gates of hell will not prevail.

He cannot rest in peace..did u listen to the initial story very well...He was among the other officers that drag Gen Aguyi Ironsi to Lalupon and lynched him..he also repeated the same with the aborted coup that lynched Gen Muritala Mohammed. E don tay wey him dey do an..na nemesis catch am.

@@Isendale lack of attention is one of the reasons why students fail in schools. The video maker never said he was among those who lynched Ironsi rather he was among the selected party who went insearch of ironsis body. You are definitely an agent of division!! You have failed!!!

This country cant go forward because what is holding it back cries of innocent blood and until it has purged itself from a bloody past and present nothing will change. what needs change is not the physical structure and land we call Nigeria but its people and leaders.

Hello my friends,a nigerian friend from Lagos told me that Bissala and Gomwalk were innocent, they were killed because some officers of the North were involved and they did not want them to talk that's why they were executed.

I lived in Jos plateau state from the early 90s to early 2000s. The first Notable Plateau Man I heard of was JD Gomwalk. He is very revered in plateau state. I heard he laid the plan for the Jos main market that was destroyed in 2002. The middle belt people have always been the engine of all the armed forces but it's unfortunate we allow ourselves to be errand boys if the caliphate.

The root of Nigeria's problem is from the innocent blood of people still crying against this country from the ground. Until we confess and repent of the evil and make restitution no policy will work.Nigeria's problem is spiritual .

I'm a Kenyan.I like Nigerians for being smart thinkers. However, I hate Nigerian military politics and corruption. I was a child when Biafra happened, and based on what I know I think reparation should made for the wanton killings and destruction of Igbo people. Besides, framed innocent victims of various military governments should be compensated for healing and national cohesion to occur. The executions of Gomwalk, Mamman Vatsa and many others are very suspicious.Besides, two tribes leading the country forever is a bad idea. as former history teacher I find Danjuma, IBB, Abacha, etc to be the worst. The former two should be made to answer for their atrocities.
