Her lasts moments as a human were spent paralyzed as she suffocated to death, her thoughts on what could have been her future if she didn't suffer. One of my favourite things about this movie is the way it explains everything you need to know about Zee and who she is in a very cleverly written bit of back and forth dialogue between her and Jenny. When Jenny says she's raising money at her school, which is obviously a very exclusive all girls academy, Zee says she got kicked it out, telling us that obviously she's intelligent and got top grades to be able to go to that school in the first place. But then she says "when a guy with tattoos rolls up to the drive-thru, give him his burger, not your phone number." This implies that she must have had a part time job at a fast food restaurant and she fell in with the wrong crowd, that this guy (probably Bones) was a very bad influence on her and it lead her to act out in school which got her kicked out.

This movie is actually really deep and well made thinking back to it. A boy who is going through puberty and starts to resent his childhood is paired with his best friend (who represents his childhood) and embarks on a story which ultimately teaches him that he doesn’t need to rush to grow up. Chowder represents his childhood and purity, the girl represents his sexual growth which are the the two most apparent things when going through puberty. The three all encounter adults throughout the story, the babysitter and her boyfriend who represent rebellion, the pizza guy represents gluttony, the parents represent neglect and the cops represent vanity. All things which a child will go through when going through change in their life. The boy seeks help from each of these and yet none of them truly provide the answer he needs, in essence the boy is asking for help and guidance. The old man represents aged death and being alone. The boy fears him throughout the whole movie because despite trying to act grown he constantly deep down fears growing old and being alone. When the final battle happens it required him to stop fighting and neglecting his own character and embrace both his childhood and coming adulthood to take out what he feared growing old hence why he’s the one to deliver the final blow. Ultimately the fear is defeated and he accepts his change, that he’s growing older yet he doesn’t need to rush to change his identity, the next person for him to meet was the little girl at the start of the movie, she represents the new generation. He passes the bike down to her acknowledging that he’s growing older and that he now holds a certain responsibility as a boy coming of age, him going trick or treating at the end shows that he’s still a child at heart and that he truly has embraced his adult side (passing the bike on) and his childhood (trick or treating). This was an amazing movie as a child
