The first is, I'm sure, a common question regarding election and predestination. What happens to all those who weren't elected? Did God create them just to either A.) suffer in hell or B.) be annihilated there? I'm not questioning the doctrine, as it seems pretty clear from John 6 and Romans that God did predestine our salvation but I'm just trying to wrap my head around why he would choose others for destruction...and my second one is what exactly does "many are CALLED but few are CHOSEN" mean? I always thought called and chosen were synonymous. Thanks so much! His peace be upon you.

Jesus never called Paul an apostle. The other apostles never called paul an apostle. Only Paul called himself one. The other apostles already replaced Judas. In acts one Jesus tells the disciples to preach to the whole world which means gentiles. Paul proclaimed his own mission to the gentiles You need two or three witnesses and the only witness paul had was Barnabas who only heard a voice but did not confirm it was Jesus. Jesus never utters the word paul or grace. Paul was not witness to Jesus earthly ministry. Was not informed about false christs coming in his name. Paul admits to using guile and cunning to advance "his" gospel. I dont see any old testament prophecy about Paul nor do i see Jesus ever mention anything about his coming especially to the apostles. Our god is not the god of confusion. Peter admitted pauls writing was difficult to understand. Paul says satan himself comes as an angel of light. Sounds quite like his experience on the Damascus road. And where is that road you ask? In the desert. In the desert? Wait didnt Jesus warn us not to believe it when someone says look he is in the desert.

The effort and gymnastics you do to deny the testimony of the Holy Spirit is astounding. Peter called Paul a beloved brother and said that God had given him wisdom, and that many devious people take his words and twist them as they do the rest of the scriptures. Peter's words still apply today, because you quote from this verse but omit the part where Peter destroys your entire argument. Jesus did not mention Paul because Paul was converted after Jesus' ministry. That's basic logic that even a child can discern. All of Paul's teaching on every major topic are consistent with Jesus' teachings. Making an argument from silence that "Jesus never used the word grace" is a logical fallacy, because they both taught salvation by faith through God's grace and predestination. Watch the video and you can see plenty of examples compared.

Election is still a topic I don't agree with you on. God is sovereign. So, He does have the choice to make humans in His own image. And He did. That does include free will. Free will IS free will. You say those who aren't elect cannot choose to hear the gospel and believe because humanity is cursed by the original sin of Adam. That it is God that chooses whom He will save. That much is clear. But if you look at Adam. Adam was created, not of man, but of God. That means Adam was "perfect". God provided him with perfect environment. Adam was righteous. And being created perfectly righteous, in perfect environment, Adam also had free will choice. So how is it that Adam sinned? It was free will. Because free will is the same as "in his image". We as humans are self-conscience, self-determining, and rational. We ALL are. Adam was. We are intellectual creatures all just a part of the manifestation of the glory of God. But even Adam, in all the circumstances that God created him and placed him in, sinned. So, mankind today, in our circumstances and our environment, still have freewill. So, it seems logical that it should be no more difficult to envision an arbitrary choice for “good” when the person is depraved, and the environment is 100 percent bad than it is to see an arbitrary choice for bad and fallen nature when the environment is 100 percent good, and the person is perfect. In both cases God knew simultaneously and coincidentally with the option to create at all whether the volition of Adam would go with the dictates of the environment or not. It follows therefore, that the “chosen” or “elect” nature of believers is not an arbitrary choice on the part of God, in total disregard to their intellectuality or free will, nor in disregard with the divine mandate for their being culpable for their choices. The chosen nature refers to the fact that if He is going to manifest His glory, He had to have this additional element in the creation revelation that could go for or against His Divine Moral norms and standards. If such is not included, there is no manifestation of the norms and standards of His Moral Attributes. Hence, election (or being “chosen” or “called”) simply acknowledges what was in the Planned Objective based on Gods knowledge of their decisions in eternity past. It is a result, and such a result is designated by “called” or “picked out”. One simple question I have. According to you, we do not know who is "elect" or not. So, do you believe that there are some who aren't created in His image? I ask because if we ALL are created in His image, there are no special "elect" in the sense that God arbitrarily chose some to believe and some to not be capable of believing due to some mystical or divine apparatus placed on those unelected.

I'm having a bit of a tough time with the free will subject, as well. Where I am at currently, is that it certainly seems within God's mandate that all who come to Him are from His calling. Same way anything Godly in life is inspired by the Spirit. I don't believe we have free will in the sense that we can choose above or beyond God, and it would make sense that our "decisions" fall within the parameters (or influence) of spiritual warfare, which is a constant presence in this world. So while I would say no one could come to God, lest he was called, I would think we have a smaller, more limited form of will, in which any serious decisions or thoughts will obviously be wrought with spiritual influence, hence not "entirely" our own. We certainly can't "out-will" God, but I don't see having a limited, restricted will as anything extra-biblical. I am probably errant on some doctrine here, but my thought process is continually evolving with new information, and I am glad the direction the Lord has graced me with as of late. Any feedback is much appreciated, and thank you Jesus for another day of life!
@SeanL-jw9rr
2 ай бұрын
I guess I could go one step further. If you take R.C Sproul's famous definition of free will, his fundamental assumption was that man, in his natural state, has within himself the capacity to keep the commandments of God to such a degree that he can be redeemed without any help from divine grace. This I guess, is what we would call "Libertarian free will." This doctrine definitely goes headlong against many of Jesus' direct statements on the matter. "No one can come to Me unless it is granted him of the Father." Etc. So obviously, an entirely free will is out of the realm of possibility, given Jesus' last statement. I think a LOT of confusion and infighting would be cleared if the contrast was made between a limited will, and one with no existing limits, which sadly, is what most of the world believes. Instead it seems to turn into a "no-will" vs "all-will" type debate, which I believe frames the discussion somewhat disingenuously. Again, I am at a point of constant learning, and this is a tough subject, so feedback is gladly welcome. But that is currently my take, errant or not... 🤗

How is God in the Bible be seen as consistent when all those Great men He had assigned to represent His word, all mandated to seek God directly without a proxy deity? The concept of God having a son never existed before Christianity. You can't say that the God in the Bible is consistent. Rather it's an innovation where a deity has been raise before God. Either Paul made that up or those that came after Paul have falsified the true teachings of Isho as received directly from God. I can understand the need to vehemently defend Paul which otherwise the whole narrative of the Gospel will fall apart.
@danceoflifepodcast
2 ай бұрын
The narrative of the gospels do not fall apart because Jesus claimed to be God countless times. One of the easiest is in Revelation 1:17-18, where He tells John that He is the first and the last. Ten verses before that it is Almighty God speaking who says He is the first and the last. In Isaiah 44:6 YHWH says He is the first and the last. Jesus received worship multiple times in His ministry and did not rebuke anyone for it, and the apostles like Peter, John, Jude and James all agree with Paul and believed Jesus was God. In the Old Testament you have the angel of YHWH who speaks about YHWH in the 3rd person as a distinct person, yet He receives worship from Joshua and claims to be God also. This is why the Jews believed in 2 powers in heaven for centuries (until Jesus came around). So you see your arguments do not hold up to scrutiny friend. Believe the gospel and be saved, because there is not much time left before the world will marvel after the Beast.
@raido1573

@@danceoflifepodcastYeah, I am aware that we ain't got much time left. But, I still believe that seeking Yahweh directly without an intermediary or proxy deity is a non-compromise route. Everything that should be attributed to the Almighty Creator as "the first and the last" "Alpha and Omega" King of Kings" have been flipped to Isho, a human creation of God, by devious hands that came after Jesus was gone. And God has been forgiving those who transgressed via direct repentance to Him. God forgives Jonah when he was in the belly of the whale and there are no shortage of other examples that God is All Forgiving and Merciful without needing a son who was then brutally sacrificed for the atonement of sins. Every Prophet that was sent by God, represented the Word of God and that included Isho. And, they all performed some sort of miracle one way or the other because Yahweh granted them so. Acts 19 reveals, like other places, that the workings of the Holy Spirit were in some ways unique in those times. People were laying hands on others to invoke the Holy Spirit to create the second birth, but Jesus says you do not know where it comes from or where it goes - meaning it's not up to you to invoke the Holy Spirit through rituals. These things were done because of special authority that the apostles received for spreading the church and creating the initial believer base, and should not be taken as doctrinally significant in terms of what we need to do today. Those who believe and repent are given the Spirit, and we know from other places that you cannot repent and believe unless God does something first in your life.

Was Saul/Paul a false Apostle? Real short Answer, No, Saul/Paul was not a false Apostle!! The evidence from history and from his own writings declares that he was when he was a Pharisees. Paul’s 180 degree turnaround from his Pharisaic life is not disputed by any learned scholar of history, both secular and Christian. The only question is: what caused his about-face? What would cause a very learned Jewish Pharisee to suddenly embrace the very movement he violently opposed and be so committed to it that he would die a martyr’s death? The answer is found within Paul’s writings and the book of Acts. In Galatians Paul summarizes his story in this way: “For you have heard of my former manner of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it; and I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my ancestral traditions. But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to Damascus. Then three years later I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days. But I did not see any of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. (Now in what I am writing to you, I assure you before God that I am not lying.) Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea which were in Christ; but only, they kept hearing, ‘He who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith which he once tried to destroy.’ And they were glorifying God because of me" (Galatians 1:13-24). Paul’s very life testifies to the truthfulness of what happened to him. In that respect, he was very much like Tom Tarrants. A dramatically changed life is hard to argue with. And what finally happened to Tom Tarrants? J. Edgar Hoover wouldn’t believe that Tarrants had actually become a Christian so he sent an FBI agent into the prison disguised as an inmate whose job it was to befriend Tarrants and find out the truth. About a week later, that FBI agent became a Christian and reported back to Hoover that Tarrants indeed was no longer the man he used to be. A number of people petitioned that Tarrants be released, and eight years into his sentence, Tarrants was paroled and left prison. He went to seminary, earned a doctorate of ministry degree, and went on to serve as president of the C. S. Lewis Institute for 12 years. Currently, he serves as the Institute’s director of ministry. “You will know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:16) and the fruits of the apostle Paul leave no doubt that he was very real indeed.

The fruits of Paul have resulted in the RCC and subsequent thousand plus denominations that do not agree with one another. Needles to say his method of delivering people to satan for the destruction of their flesh hasn't bode well thereafter, as that method of forced conversion is the number one tool used by atheists to diminish belief in God and Country all together. And Ive seen people turn their lives around under the teaching of Muhammad/Joseph Smith and the Jehovah's Witnesses. But Im sure you'd agree that they have flawed doctrine as well.

I too, am somewhat wrestling with the free-will/election subject. But it has become a bit clearer lately, definitely in part thanks to Tudor's videos, no doubt. But it is clear to me, that God would know just who would be saved at the end of time, so in a very specific sense, it is predestined just based on the foreknowledge alone. Now, that might mean some people are predestined to judgement, but no worries, ...we ALL deserve it. Difference being, God in his infinite mercy decided to save a whole group out of us damned, who would never have had eternal life, otherwise. Some see this as cold and callous, I now understand it as gracious and merciful. As far as free will, I would say we have a limited, not Libertarian free will. Meaning our free will cannot override God's, and it is always contingent to the play of spiritual influence, ...hence when we make a Godly decision, it is not entirely our own, but in a sense empowered in us by God, or more specifically, the Holy Spirit. Now does God work good in the wicked? Well, I certainly know he uses the foolish to judge the wise, small to judge the great, etc., so I would assume everyone (elect or not) is open to spiritual influence the same. The ones who come to God, were called and inspired by God's grace. So we would want to spread the Gospel message specifically because we don't know who is saved or not, and we never truly know when God has a legitimate convert in our presence. This all besides the fact that we were told to spread the Good Word, and I don't know about you, but when the Word is not directly saving my life for eternity, ...it is most certainly edifying me along my journey. Best of "luck" to you, it is a difficult subject to broach, for myself and many others, I know. 😮🤔🤗😊

In God's infinite wisdom he did not share with us who is elected and who isn't. Sharing the gospel is not about achieving the outcome because God has already achieved it. Rather it is about participating in the outcome that God has created for reality. Predestination does not mean no participation. In fact it's the other way around. It means that your participation can come from my perspective of joy and discovery, rather than effort and anxiety. If God is Not predetermined who to save then your efforts in spreading the gospel determine whether that person will be saved or not. It's up to you and your persuasiveness or your knowledge of the Gospel or your experience otherwise that person could be lost. But that's not the case. God has purposed who to save and he does it through each one of us and our own work, and we are participating in that plan.

@@danceoflifepodcast See, that seems to be perfectly sensible to me. I guess a question would be where then faith comes in to play. I believe God stokes that flame in every elect, and that our decisions through life, so to speak, will either embrace that flame or extinguish it is a flame that never truly was. So in a sense we have freedom, and our faith matters, as does our actions and our labors, ...just not toward salvation. Rather towards further reward in eternal life, I suppose. And your faith would appropriate how much God could use you (your willingness) in His plan. I guess I would say it seems to me like we have a "limited" free will, in that we can increase/decrease faith, make decisions, etc, but that in anything spiritual, (which is a lot, including faith), God's influence would be present, as well as Satan's, AND in such a way, that most of our life's free will would be spent in the throes of the Holy Spirit or the devil's influence, anyways. So we have a free will, but definitely not in such a way as the libertarian style view, or a no-will-at-all extremes. But that we have a "tempered" will, in that we can never out-will God, and much of our will is spent under spiritual influence, and we are either saved from the beginning of creation, ...or damned by the judgement at the end of time. The Lord knows my result right now, and all I know is that He is at work in my life. I would guess I could be damned, ...if I don't persevere to the end, but I believe He will give me the strength. And I'm sure that works are just that, works, but, definitely worth doing if you love and honor Jesus. The Bible does not say that an angel of Light appeared to Saul nor a ghost. It says a brilliant light appeared and based on the fact that the people around him did not see anything, the likely conclusion is that he had a vision of Jesus. It is true that in other places he wrote that Satan appears as an angel of Light but everything must be taken in context. It is obvious that Satan did not appear to Paul and convert him. Look at Paul's teachings and they are completely consistent with Christ. Also a vision that would encourage him to stop persecuting Christians would not be coming from Satan. Remember that Jesus is light and the Father is called the Father of lights. The devil is a master of counterfeiting, but don't give him more credit than he's due.

While I do not believe Paul was a false apostle, I also do not believe he was against the law. Yes, we are saved by grace and not of works but the works Paul is referring to is works of the flesh. I have heard many of your teachings now and there is a lot I do agree with. However, this teaching of saved by grace with NO works is not biblical. Paul is NOT anti-Torah! I know you know this, but the word Torah just means instructions. Paul was a Torah scholar, but he came into a new understanding of it. Judaism, which is ancient Phariseeism, teaches your righteousness comes through obedience to the law along with all their oral laws and traditions and Judaism is still following that to this day. Our righteousness does not come from obedience, but through faith in Christ. The question now is where does this faith lead? Faith in Christ leads you to obedience. God has always wanted our obedience, but out of our love for Him, NOT salvation! 1 John 2:3 tells us if we love Him, we will obey His commandments and anyone who says they love Him, but does not obey Him is a liar. Paul also teaches us in Rom. 3:31 - "Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish(stand) the law." The problem is not the law, but is our fallen nature. Paul teaches us that the law is holy, just, and good. The weakness of the law is that it is powerless to make you obey it. The sole purpose of the law is to teach you what sin is, it was NEVER intended for your righteousness or for your obedience unto salvation! 1 John 3:4 tells us that sin is transgression of the law! Torah is our instructions in righteousness, but not our righteousness. It is God's righteousness and that is found in Ps. 119:172. Romans 8:7-8 tells us it is our fallen nature that is the problem. "Because the carnal mind(fallen nature) is enmity against God, (why?) for it is NOT subject to the law of God, nor can it be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God." In this fallen state, we are incapable to walk out the law perfectly. This is why we need Christ! He provides us with the Holy Spirit and that Spirit will lead you into all truth. The biblical definition of truth is found in Ps. 119:142 and 151. These verses tell you that the law and the commandments are truth! It is the Holy Spirit, through Christ, that gives us the power to overcome sin and begin to walk in obedience! Obedience is the evidence of your faith, it is NOT for your righteousness for we have no righteousness of our own. When I am walking in obedience, I am walking out God's righteousness not my own. Christ has given us the power to overcome sin(disobedience) and walk in obedience! This is a work of the Spirit, so that no one can boast. I cannot boast about obedience, when it is Christ that is teaching me to walk in obedience! It was disobedience that got us in this mess in the first place! The next thing is to understand the instructions have changed, out of necessity, with the change in the priesthood, which is taught in Hebrews 7:12. We are no longer under the Levitical/Aaronic priesthood. We are under the Melchizedek priesthood with Christ as our high priest. Therefore, we do not follow any temple service laws, sacrificial system laws, and the like. There are changes in the law under this new covenant with our new High Priest under the order of Melchizedek. You believe in the Sabbath and that is good. You are missing a lot of biblical understanding by not observing His Feasts. They are bigger than you know. They are prophetic and God does everything around them. They teach you of your salvation plan and they teach you of the first and second comings of Christ! Early first century believers were all keeping them. It was not until the second century when things began to change. We DO NOT observe His feasts for any type of salvation or righteousness of our own. We observe them because our Messiah observed them and He is our example. We do not observe them like those in Judaism, who have added all kind of traditions to them. Just keep the pure and simple. I have often heard you teach that you must understang the OT through the NT. That is not correct. You will not understand much of the NT without your basis in the OT. Many Christians make this mistake. The teaching that Chris has "done away with the law" would not have a leg to stand on if this was understood. If that statement was true, then according to Paul, you would have to prove it in the OT. Paul praised the Bereans for searching the scriptures to see what he was saying was true. The only scriptures that existed when Paul is making that statement was the OT! So, show me a verse in the OT that tells you when Messiah comes, He will take away the law and we will just be under grace and He will no longer require any kind of obedience. Paul tells Timothy that the scriptures are good for doctrine, correction, and reproof. Again, when Paul is making this statement, the NT did not exist! They were getting the entirety of their doctrine from the only scriptures that existed, which was the OT!! It is the OT that defines many of the things that are taught in the NT. Jesus also agreed with this and taught that the law, the prophets, and the writings wrote of Him. Obedience is a work of the spirit and NOT the flesh.

Everything must be read in context, otherwise you will at the very least end up confused and at the most be captured by the devil in legalism. We are saved by grace. Ephesians 2:8-11. Look at the scriptures in this video where Jesus talks about believing in order to be saved. Over and over again it is the same theme. Believe, and be saved. But why? Why is it so simple? It's simple because you cannot believe unless God gives you to Christ, and then you cannot be lost. That means those who do believe have a complete transformation and are also endured by God. That is the mystery of faith. Therefore works are a given, because believing is not something you can accomplish on your own. It is a gift given to you, which also comes with a new life and a new heart. Works are a result of faith, and faith is a result of God's electing choice. But that doesn't mean you are saved by grace and works. That is heresy. Your understanding of grace needs to expand from the notion of a coupon that you take advantage of to an overwhelming force of God to change your heart forever. Grace properly understood as an effective power that leads to permanent change frames salvation correctly, and it also frames works correctly.
@RestorationofallThings

@@danceoflifepodcast We clearly disagree. Belief in Christ should lead to something and that is obedience, NOT in an effort to "save" yourself, but as the evidence you have placed your belief in Christ. The once saved always saved doctrine has been and always will be debated. It is clear we will not reach any conclusions here. I don't see my understanding of grace as being a coupon that I take advantage of. Rather, I see grace as God being patient with me and He begins to work on my heart. This grace is needed as I am learning from Him as He is leading me. I can think of several scriptures that contradict a "once saved always saved" doctrine. Paul tells us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. What exactly are we "working out" if I have already placed my belief in Christ? I should not have to work out anything in your view. Hebrews 3: 6 tells us in Christ's house IF we hold fast the confidence and rejoicing of hope firm to the end! Hebrews 10: 35 - 38 clearly says we have need to endure and that AFTER we have done the will of God, we will recieve the promise. The just shall live by faith, BUT if anyone draws back, His soul has no pleasure. This has it's foundation in the OT. In Ezekiel 18 lays out a whole case were a righteous man who then turns from righteousness and does evil, none of the righteousness will be remembered. And if a wicked man turns from all his sins and does what is lawful, he shall live. The Covenants have always been conditional. Yes, those of us who commit our lives to Christ are in the palm of His hand, but we are always free to get off the path that leads to eternal life. Even the demons believe in Christ, and they do better than most, they fear and tremble! But this belief is not doing them any good because they have chosen their path and do not want to walk in obedience any longer. Belief and faith are action words. These things are your starting point. Once you come to Christ, it begins the process of sanctification. You learn to walk in His ways. We will make mistakes along the way as we are still in a fallen state, and this is why grace is given. In fact, grace and mercy are ONLY given to those who walk in obedience according to Ps. 103:17 and 18. We might not ever come to an agreement, and that is alright. I still like your video's and like your in depth study of history. I appreciate the work you put into them. Be blessed!!
