Can you add a map shot and trail distance with your videos? We look for rail trails to hit on vacation. We hope to get over that way to hit the Virginia Creeper trail and might as well do others in the area.

Most of the bike ride footage was shot on an Insta360 x3 (I have the x4 now). I also do a lot of the off-bike, cinematic shots with an iPhone 14 (or 15). And sometimes I also use a GoPro Hero 9 for a few shots.

I just found your channel and I'm now addicted. I appreciate all of the work you put into filming and editing these rides. I just discovered e-biking this year and it's changed my life, for the better. I live in Jacksonville and plan to visit several of the trails you've filmed. Keep up the good work and I hope you can head south and check out some of the amazing trails we have in Florida very soon.

Let me know if you do decide to do some Florida trail riding. I can make some recommendations based on a lot of experience. I highly recommend Little Talbot Island close to Amelia Island, just over the Georgia border. You can ride on the road, easy dirt trails or beach. Typically you can ride right on the ocean and not see another human for 10 miles plus. @@joyfultrails

Thanks! It's actually an Insta360 x3 camera on an extended "selfie stick"...but in editing the stick disappears, causing the drone-like effect. Yeah, just before I rode this trail, I explored the Estatoe and ran up on a bear! You can check that one out sometime... kzitem.info/news/bejne/mp6Z3op3aaaKZagsi=tyX6XPe4IGytfEk-

I make trail videos too so I really appreciate all the work you put into your videos. One opinion that I have is that your actual trail riding video doesn’t match the quality of all of your other footage. The 360 camera you are using is not meant for shooting the type of video you publish. It’s made for people who watch on phones at low resolution. It can’t shoot 4k and upscaling doesn’t work well. It also doesn’t work well in some of the low light environments I see when you go through dark areas of the trail. My suggestion would be to purchase a good action cameras like the Insta360 Ace Pro or DJI Osmo 4. Both work excellent in low light and offer much higher resolution. The 360 camera can be used for some small shots (to simulate aerial video like you do) but it should not be used as the primary trail cam (at least not for a skilled professional videographer like yourself). Keep up the great work!

Enjoy your channel! It’s great to see a kindred spirit having fun and spreading joy. Questions…1) of all the LPs you’ve spun in your life which one would you choose as your favorite and 2) which LP contained the most requested track?

Oh wow...good questions. Well, for 15 years I produced and hosted a weekend Christian rock show on a mainstream (secular) classic rock station. So I love artists like Larry Norman, Sweet Comfort Band, Mylon & Broken Heart, 2nd Chapter of Acts, Petra, Phil Keaggy, Keith Green and so many others. I guess my personal favorite album would be Straight On by the DeGarmo & Key Band (1979). I can't say for sure, but I think the most requested song on that show I did was Psychedelic Super Jesus by Bride. Or maybe Great Big Stupid World by Randy Stonehill. Hey, thanks for watching!

There are a ton of these white squirrels up around Southern Pines in North Carolina as well, but they’re just as bad as the other squirrels. They like to just dart in front of you.

It's deer that I worry about...unexpectedly jumping out across the trail. But yeah, squirrels can be a problem. Brevard has found a way to "monetize" them!

You already answered my question about seeing white squirrels in a reply to another comment. Even though this Trail was basically a commuter Trail used mostly by the residents of the town, I would probably enjoy it just because it is a small town. One of my favorite things to do after riding a trail is to find a local brew pub and Sample their wares. Do you ever partake?

Your low rating is understandable. It does seem like a really neat area to visit or live in. I would love to be able to ride my bike to Arby's or Autozone. A ride on the trail would have to go with the visit to Brevard.

I'm more of a hotel guy than a camping guy. I did buy a tent this year...but I haven't used it yet (ha). Reading about people hearing bears and other wild animals (and potential bike thieves) outside their tent has discouraged me somewhat. You don't ever have to worry about bears down at the Hampton Inn. LOL. Next year I may do some "car camping" and just set my tent up at an established campground. No, haven't done Greenbrier yet, but several people have suggested it, so it's on the "someday" list. Thanks for watching!

You missed the real value of this trail which is to connect the town with the mountain biking trails and gravel roads of Pisgah National Forest. The trail will also serve as a connection to the Ecusta trail when it opens in the future. The Ecusta trail will connect Pisgah Forest to Hendersonville. As a stand-alone bike path I would agree that its mediocre.

The same day I rode this trail...when I got to Lowe's I looked across the 4-lane and saw the Estatoe Trail...and went and tried it out. I really liked that one! (Except that I saw a bear that scared me senseless...ha!). Anyway, look up my video on the Estatoe Trail. I think you'll like that one.

I don't suppose you saw any white squirrels? Did you see any squirrels at all? Do they serve squirrels at that diner? Did you see any white squirrel road kill? If the answer to all this is no, then the whole trip was a bust.
