Lamarcus Aldridge's post up was similar to Sheed's with that high release.

He Had A Different Post Game...Not Better 👌🏿. Why?!! Zach Didn't Have The Attributes Of Young Roscoe. Roscoe Was Quick Off Of The Floor And He Is 7ft. Zach Was Shorter, Not As Athletic And Heavier. He Used What He Had And Perfected That. "Different" Doesn't Mean Worse Or Better...IT'S DIFFERENT 👌🏿.

Zach had more stuff on the block but Sheed could turn over either shoulder and finish with that high release. He either made it or missed it. Zach mastered the angles and footwork because he didn’t have lift.

Zbo was better offensively all around in the post, but that turnaround high release turn around was the best individual move either of them had. Id argue that for the Pistons at least, Sheed was a better post defender than anyone else in the team because of his length. Big Ben gets the accolades and was great coming off the weak side, but when Sheed was out for fouls or rest there was a notable difference between him being in court and off.

Nice, shouts for Smith and J.R. Steve Smith was DEADLY from the midrange and if he shot the 3 ball with more volume... different career. He was the sharp as a shooter if anyone else remembers. I'm a NY fan and I remember Smith lighting the Knicks up many times with his high post mid-range game. And NY at the time arguably had the best defense and some of the best wing defenders in the league. Smith was automatic against us
