One major thing I've noticed about ladies that have lonngggg type 4 hair is that they consistently use the same products. So, continue using what your hair likes, what you know works, and what won't jeopardize YOUR hair. Those who get it get it. ❤

@@Jeannette0890 I’ve never paid this much attention but I think you’re right lol I’m a creature of habit so I always stick to the same products lol it’s fun exploring other brands but I’m definitely a “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it” type of girly 😅

Good for you mama! I had to learn how to take care of myself again too! Your hair is beautiful! I need to trim too! You should do whatever you can keep up with! But if you want to prioritize your hair’s health you do your moisture training.

Yes, it's hard getting back to yourself! Doing the moisture training series was so helpful. My hair is waaaayyy more moisturized these days. When I was in survival mode postpartum I was using a lot more heat on my hair to make it more manageable but it dried my hair out even more and caused some heat damage so I think I'll be trying to fix that next lol

Melanin leave in is the best product I have ever experienced. I do keep her African shampoo in stock as well. I haven’t tried the other products.

Whitney's products are hit or miss in stock bc they frequently are sold out of different products every time I need them....I'm sad I had to move on

@@JessicaSmith-ie7cm I definitely understand bc the conditioner is my faaaaavvvv but it’s always sold out in stores and online. It’s always good to have a few products/ brands in rotation that you like bc you never know what’ll be out of stock or discontinued these days.

@@formerlyknownas123 thank you so much! ❤️ I usually trim twice a year (every 6 months). I have a couple videos on how I trim my hair while it’s wet and blown out if you wanna check them out 🥰

You just finish off with some oil of your choice, for better results and moisture.

I typically don’t use an oil during the styling process unless I’m specifically doing the LOC method. I use oil when I take the twists out but maybe I’ll try using when styling and see if I notice a difference.
