Cory Graff, Curator & Restoration Manager at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, gives us a closer look at a flier jacket belonging to a WASP, Woman’s Air Force Service Pilot, and its owner’s story as a female pilot in World War II. This artifact is on display as part of the Museum’s special exhibit, Our War Too: Women in Service, honoring the nearly 350,000 American women who answered the call to serve their country during the war.
On display in the Senator John Alario, Jr. Special Exhibition Hall from November 11, 2023, through July 21, 2024, this exhibit recognizes servicewomen’s wartime efforts and celebrates their accomplishments, the impacts of which extend into the present day.
