Speechless. 20+ years since I seen or heard this, and it was one of the major songs in my turning into a frasher. Tx for posting.

Ballz out double kick through almost the entire song. I couldn't even find this on KZitem not that long ago. Thanks for the upload. One of the most under rated "Thrash" bands ever. They used to just be straight up punk, but like DRI made the change to a more structured and complex band. Loved the change and still love this tune almost 20 years later...

I played guitar for WY at Fenders in April 1987. They were transitioning from punk to metal. Stll have those reheasal tapes. You can hear the boombox melting........the ringing in my ears is still there.....

One of my all-time favourite metal albums. This is a masterpiece that still ends up on the turntable regularly.

Holy fuck, this is a video I haven't seen for a few years. Played this video to death in the summer of 2010. Bought their first two EP's on album the following months. I don't give a shit if they changed to metal, it still sounds awesome. BTW: the violin part in the beginning is from Nicolo Paganini Caprice No. 9

I never understood how this song never made these guys huge. My first band and I covered this back in the day. If anyone is interested in doing a little online collaboration and covering this, drop me a line.

Kwolf68, you are mostly correct except for one thing: The third album "Black Daze," including this song, still featured the original guitarist Chett Lehrer -- but instead of playing lead guitar he was playing rhythm guitar.

Damn, I can't even tell which one is Dave. If its him doing the solo near the end, then damn, he should get in on more soloing spots in VR songs and shows. I've seen em' 3 times and he's always surprised me. When you hear a solo you're always expecting it to be Slash... but when they do Vasoline it's nice to hear a Dave solo for once. And this is coming from a huge Slash fan! Dave's great though.

This came out at that great time when punk and metal found common ground and all of a sudden there were loads more great bands to get into.

Yeah, like I said, the energy of it is punk. They started as punk but whatever it is, it sounds good. And yeah, I like metal. I'm not a metal head or anything though. Right now I'm listening to Curtis Mayfield.

I remember seeing them w/Last Round Up at the Balboa Theater in L.A. Good speed metal but they should've changed the band name. Reagan's In still my fave. The Black Daze album was still way better than the sucky Brats in Battalions.
