WAT PHANAN CHOENG is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya on the east bank of the Chao Phraya river.
This temple was build in 1324.
In this temple we will see a huge 19 meter high seated Buddha . This highly revered Buddha statue is called Luang Pho Tho by Thais. The statue is regarded as a guardian for mariners.
The temple is open daily from 8am to 5pm. The entrance fee is 20 baht, paid at a small booth at the entrance.
