This film is not anti-men at all: it’s anti-patriarchy. It shows that the patriarchy hurts everyone, regardless of gender. You can have your Dojo-Mojo Casa Houses without tearing down the DreamHouses! Thank you guys for being Allans in a world of Kens! You are both Kenough! Also let’s be honest, Pedro Pascal and Keanu Reeves are Allans for sure! ❤

Yes, but the Barbies are not going to put a single cent into having Mojo Dojo Casa House for the Kens, they will continue sleeping on the streets of Barbie Land. There really isn't a fair ending for them and it wasn't their fault that their leader misinfluenced them with real-world ideas that he only adapted to impress his Barbie.

i love kens storyline because it perfectly shows how lost men can be so easily be mislead of patriarchy into the toxic incel/masculinity pipeline out of a missguided sense of finding purpose. men who revolve their entire identity around finding a woman to "complete them" end up resenting the women and blaming them for their own lives. when really the whole time they were kenough, they just needed to focus on themselves and their own happiness outside of their search for their own "barbies''

I had a mid-'60's Barbie with black, Serena-from-Bewitched hair. Their faces were oddly shaped, but I was so interested in how the clothes were "thick" and used snaps, but still had nice style - very Jackie Kennedy and golden age of Hollywood. Btw, when you're old (like me), you don't feel "old", you just remember a lot. And it's so strange that others don't.

It would deserve them, but other than for set design or any side show it won’t get any Oscars. Too mainstream and successful. Oppenheimer on the other hand has good chances because it is „deeper“ in a sense that it has a more artistic approach than Barbie. It’s not as commercial. Although Barbie for sure is very creative. It’s just not something that easily gets an Oscar. Look what hoops Leo DiCaprio had to jump through to get his Oscar.

I think its interesting how many men got all upset about how ken was treated in the beginning but have no problem how women are treated same in the real world. And they say barbie deserved ken turning barbieland to kenland when for ken when he learned about patriarchy and took over Barbieland his go to was to demean all the barbies and turn them into brainless slaves who rub his feet and cut up his food, like a petty little bi*,ch. I dont recall barbie being mean to ken. She just didnt love him. Why is it men have to jump to demeaning women? And any girl knows what get in the box means. It means what women have been told for millennia, know your place.

Dudes, you didn’t understand Ken as well, only the other way around 🙄🙄🙄 He is not an a-hole, he is HURT and therefore reacts like he does to get some petty revenge on Barbie. An eye for an eye so to speak only to realize at the end that that is also not the solution he thought it was. I mean how can anyone NOT get this??? Ryan’s play is so good in the scene where he puts on the two glasses. You see the hurt on his face and he puts the glasses on to hide it and maintain a cool facade. How can anyone misunderstand that? Well I also don’t get why people don’t understand that his character arc is also not man-hating. 🤦🏻♀️

I understand the „you’re so beautiful“ scene on the bench but I also think it doesn’t fit in there, did nothing for me during the movie. It just left me confused why someone would say that to a stranger. And also the manosphere wasn’t explored so much, but that was the best part of the movie together with Ryan’s performance and the dance scenes and costumes. All the mother daughter stuff wasn’t for me, I‘m a boy‘s mother, that’s probably different to being a girl‘s mom. And since I never had a relationship with my mother I couldn’t really relate emotionally.
