Hi Kuma! My two kids and I love your videos! My daughter cried after watching your beautiful video about Miso! So sorry for your loss. We live in the Tampa area and our power went out because of the hurricane. It's been out for 2 days so far and we're worried about our little 5 month old Syrian. It hasn't gotten hot yet because of the storm, but it usually gets up to the high 90s here. Without A/C we are worried that one the temperature goes up, if we don't have power he'll pass away. We don't have any place to board him near us. Do you have any tips for keeping him cool and stress free?

People really need to see this.. Hamsters are really loyal (at least according to my experience), so please be a responsible owner and love them forever!! Please really do think twice before you get a hamster, and always love them. Never punish them if they bite, that'll make your relationship with your hamster even worse. Never gonna give them up!💛

It's sad that prices of hamsters here in the Philippines are so cheap, costing around 25 pesos or .4 dollars as the cheapest price. So they are most likely given to children who doesn't know how to take care of them, or breeders without proper knowledge, selling the babies at low prices. It's all about business here.. Just thinking about those hamsters who's breeders/owners let them live in a small bin cage, sometimes 2 or more hamsters in one, really breaks my heart. Thank you for this information. I hope it reaches many hamster owners here in ph.

Great video but one correction is needed. Hamster pee smell, especially if it builds up, it does have a specific kind of smell to it. They won't always pee in the 'corner' for you to easily spot clean, even if you try to 'teach' them with methods available out there, as every hamster is different. Some pee little bit everywhere, some in the sand bath, some pee extensively in their houses, my hamsters did exhibit all of these behaviours. So, lesson to learn from this, unless you want to clean daily which you shouldn't as this will disturb and confuse your hamster, you need to get used to that hamster pee smell, it's not that bad but it's there.
@Claire-to5ym

True my syrians poo is very smelly compared to my robo and dwarf hamster. Syrians need a lot more cleaning out but they are bigger and produce more waste. I think this will be my first and last one as it feels like the same effort as looking after a big pet.

Very beautiful💜😘👍❤️love it!! In my country the bare minimum is 100x50x50 cm for enclosures, cages with wire are illegal here. And actually tomatoes are not poisonous for hamsters, my vet said it too. You just should remove any green piece and the seeds of it, then it's totally ok to eat. Very nice video👍😊
@osztingyula
2 жыл бұрын
Just a little addition to the video: 4000 square centimeters for a syrian hamster cage is the absolute minimum and don't count in any platforms or higher grounds! For winter whites 3000 square centimeter cages are the minimum in here. For robos please have at least as large as a syrian hamster cage because robos are the most active ones. Please add a lot of safe bedding to the enclosure, there are many types and for syrians you need to have at least 20 cm of it, for dwarfs 10-15 cm could be enough. They naturally live underground and the thick bedding helps them caving. You must have a hamster wheel for them to satisfy their need of movement, hamsters run for like 8-10 kilometers a day! For dwarfs you need at least 20 cm and for syrians at least 28 cm in diameter. You also need to avoid mesh wheels, the hammy can stuck it's feet in it and break it or tear it off! Quiet wooden wheels are the best imo. If you want to tame your hamster the first step is to have: a big enclosure (there's no such thing as too big!), safe and enough bedding, a proper wheel, a sand bath (a little bowl with hamster safe sand), a proper diet, water and several hiding places in the enclosure. If you have these things your hamster won't be so grumpy and stressed therefore you can tame it, but if it lacks proper care it will be stressed. Also, tomatoes are edible and they usually love it, BUT you need to cut off the green pieces of it, because it's poisionous for them (leaves and the stalk thing)!

can someone help me? The video says that you need to feed the hamster with seeds. As for vegetables, are they more like treats or food? What percentage should I feed them with seeds and vegetables? Some sites say vegetables should make up 90% of their diet, others say it's best to feed more seeds. What should I do?( (my species of hamster is the Djungarian dwarf) also, is it ok that when i pick up a hamster he sniff and try to run away(he don't bite, tho)? Am I a bad pet owner or are they more interested in the world around them? And he can be active in any time, i don't push him to wake up, he can just get up in the middle of the day and start running around the cage, chewing on everything, running in a wheel, as if it were during the nigh. And I don't know it's ok, because the internet says that hamsters should only be active at night! This is my very first hamster and overall pet in my 18 years of life, I am very worried ;w;

I see so many dumb ppl on youtube not knowing anything about hamsters, just buying them coz they like without any enclosure, a dedicated cage, food items or exercising objects. Just keeping them around like cats or dogs and later find them dead. They don't even know what to feed and what not, the hamsters get choked and die (ik mostly they can ease themselves, hammy prowess), coz of feeding them peanut butter, I think coz it's a waxy thing, they can't ease themselves with this, and most of the time they die of carelessness, either by accidents like falling of their rushed cage, getting outside house and get eaten by dog, choked after eating peanut butter, let them roam freely around house like cats and they encounter accidental deaths. It's simple, if u can't maintain, don't take its responsibility, ppl aren't getting this.
