I'm a total convert to CW. Mike is fascinating to listen to, and I couldn't be happier with my C60 Trident, currently running at +1.5secs/day....

Christopher Ward are on a completely different level in terms of everything they do, from quality, innovation and value to communications and transparency. These differences are greatly magnified by the world of watches in which we now live, governed by hype, vastly inflated prices and a disconnect between manufacturers / authorised dealers and customers.

I always enjoy listening to Mike France talk. Love CW and love the c60 Tide. CW seemingly makes a watch I want ever month or two. They are out of control. Wonder if a sapphire C65 chronograph is in the works?

Love this discussion and I'm floored with CW's transparency. This is my new "love" for luxury watches b/c they look amazing, the engineering is fantastic, the watch is loaded with great features and all that for a great price and a great cause (#tide, #savetheocean). This great looking watch is now at the top of my list to be acquired within the next few weeks (Happy B-Day to me!). If only I had the budget, I think I'd go and buy 2 or 3 other CW watches! That's how fantastic they are and how I'm now in LOVE with them. Thanks for sharing these insights and for enabling us to listen in.

I just purchased this C60 #Tide here in the US and absolutely love it. I also found a coupon for $125 off, which was great. There were import fees I incurred of about $60, but other than that I feel I received an amazing watch at an amazing price. It's also much more than I expected. Beautiful and superb perfection. I'm a new CW fan.

Keep an eye on this brand - compared with Bremont who like to think they the flag bearer of english design/Swiss made, CW knock them into a cocked hat. They re-introduced a true compressor (reversed engineering). They brought in their 'sapphire' dials. They have made some unique modifications and they actually made their own in house movement which they are trying to to make more accessible as it costs a fortune for an independent. Their watch designs are fresher. Their service is better. They regulate the same movements that Bremont use better. But they are 25% or less the than the Bremont price. And btw, I can speak from personal experience, Mike France and his business partner Peter Ellis are true, modest gentleman. Everyone should own one. And I guarantee it will get regular wrist time. Get a C60 for your 'beater' or a c65 for another 'vintage' beater. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

God damn, C60 #TIDE is absolutely insane. I "dislike" a few details. But overall it is a very, very solid "grail" in my opinion! And i am waiting for the black friday sales and then i will order mine with a few straps. I was about to buy a Formex Reef or a Titoni Seascoper (both are also great). But the Tide simply does a few things very different.

I so want that #Tide... but the size is just too much for my puny wrist. They need to introduce a smaller brother to this one ASAP. In 38, 39 or even 40, I'd have it in my shopping bag already. And no: The 40mm Sapphire won't do as a substitute for me. I don't like the blue see-through case-back or the all-metal bezel insert. I love the Tide's wave-pattern dial, the plastic details on the crown and case-back and, perhaps most of all, the part-ceramic, part-metal bezel insert. Overall, this is probably CW's prettiest design yet. Pretty please, guys? A smaller version for those of us who can't pull off a 50-ish L2L?

When are we going to see a cosc certified super compressor, the standard movement is the only thing letting this watch down...
@CasualWatchReviews
3 жыл бұрын
Hey David, Its the same movement used, just one is regulated to be closer to the COSC standard then certificated.
@davids.2317
3 жыл бұрын
@@CasualWatchReviews the non cosc version of this movement could be off by up to 20 seconds a day...as far as I am concerned that is a deal breaker. No matter how well engineered or beautiful a watch is, if it is 20 secs a day off I wouldn't enjoy wearing it. I have 2 CW chronometers, the Dartmouth and c60 elite, and they are fantastic, beutifuly made and very accurate, I would love to add a super compressor, but don't want to take a gamble on the movement, especially as my local watchmaker isn't happy to open up the compressor case to regulate the movement. This is my only criticism of CW, it's a real shame they went to the trouble of engineering this amazing watch, and then supplied it with an average movement.
