Hey. Do you happen to be working as a warehouse associate? I start as one beginning next month. I’m so nervous. But tbh the night shift gives u extra pay then the day shift ($21 during training/$25 after training where I live), up to 40 hrs a week. I know it’s gonna kill me, but I bet that check is gonna look nice tho 😏

@@tayloronuschak1367 Hey!! Yes I have like 5 years experience by now working at warehouse I mean some of them are just a big NO but I can say that Amazon is a better option then most of the other warehouse bc of the same thing they pay more and ofc we are talking bout Amazon that’s worldwide business so it is pretty demanding but they pay u for your effort and we can appreciate it bc you may be doing the same exhausting things on another place but this $$$ is not enough so yeah

I loved my job at Amazon until I had to jump through hr hoops to go back to stowing because picking was killing me. Quit tried to come back 3 months later got hired on as a picker quit the first day now I work for the usps and for the most part I like my job but I live working to get a good light workout. I don't know where you people are from. If you are from the states, I can't help you. I'm from Canada, so it might work differently here at Amazon. If you are someone that doesn't like lifting bags & boxes, this job isn't for you. I've been working at Amazon for 7+ months. Is it tiring, yes, Do I want to work lesser than 30 hours a week, yes. I do it because I want to do it. Do I like it? Not really. A job is a job.

They have every job timed and monitored so that you are not idle for a second. The work is exhausting, and many are night shifts which throw your circadian rhythms off leading to depression weight gain and so many other things like nightmares. grateful for the income but feel like maybe they prey on the desperate.

I just wanna add that it’s his take on it. HIS experience.. I’d like to share mine. It’s timed and monitored but they can’t tell you to work fast or harder. The work is not exhausting, it’s very simple and easy. It’s extremely repetitive like “put this apple on the desk” now do it again, do it again, again and again.. many are night shifts however you gain a lot of time off which you can use whenever. Many don’t stay the full shift, they VTO or use their own time. You do not gain weight here, you will lose weight! Because it’s a lot of walking I guess it can be exhausting if you aren’t used to walking. Again this is my opinion, it’s one of the easiest jobs out there. The only real bad thing is what he mentioned about most being night shifts, it can be very hard to do things outside of work when you’re out because you gotta get sleep and you don’t sleep the same in the day like you do in the night. If you are disciplined and have a routine then it will work out

Current driver (delivery associate) we have our fair share of Amazon micromanaging bullshit. DAs work for third party companies and not Amazon directly. How much you enjoy it depends on what type of routes your company has. I was liking it for the most part up until about a month ago when Amazon switched our delivery area to mostly downtown area (large package volumes with mailroom and locker drops) mixed with individual apartment deliveries and residential. Absolutely killer routes. Thinking of moving to warehouse because the work you do is mostly consistent day in and out and you're in a climate controlled warehouse. The goal if you're going to be a DA is to eventually move up to dispatching so you can be in the warehouse a couple days a week and not working your ass off constantly. Usually means longer hours though.

She's talking about two different things: a sortation center, not a delivery station. Some delivery stations have stowers, and all the positions seem easy. This doesn't look like that. 🤷♂
