That weird-looking TIE craft at the beginning is actually an Ekranoplan, a cancelled Soviet project that created planes that could fly a few metres above the water on a cushion of air known as ground effects. The row of cylinders that look like bombs in the front are actually engines, most of which switch off when the Ekranoplan gains enough speed to propel itself through the use of ground effects only. Definetly a pleasant surprise to see someone integrate that concept into the Star Wars universe.

pretty sure the western build was directly inspired by one of the old sets - it looked to me like the designer aimed (and succeeded) to make a far more detailed recreation of a classic.

Is there a timeline on when the new studio will be ready? Also how come you guys haven’t been doing reviews lately? And where is Ramon 😢 Sorry for all my questions but I feel like there’s been no clarity on this
@BrickVault

Hi Luke, We moved our studio out of San Diego a bit over a year ago and that's where a good bulk of our content has changed. New studio space won't be ready to show for the next couple of months, we've moved away from set reviews for now, but may return to that kind of content someday. Ramon stayed in So Cal when we moved out of state and he's doing well. Most of our videos tackling this stuff is well over a year old now so I can see where the info can get lost.

I am quite sure it is real and also that it is based of the Caspian Sea Monster "flying" boat developed by the Soviets both in looks and function (per described in the vid)
