Surely, as a foreigner in England I have a right to be governed in England by those capable of governing and those governing for the benefit of all of England's people. Johnson governed England just, solely for his own benefit, he tricked his acquaintances and colleagues in such a way that they have all, that's every one of them, lost credibility, thier position and thier honour. He must surely be punished in the most severe way possible within the law and also outside of the same laws that he is trying to use to protect his dirty arse.

He genuinely does not understand accountability or consequences in the way you or I would because he’s never had to face either of them. Revisiting this today. Watched the whole thing at the time. The thing that stayed with me through all of this is the fact that Johnson obviously felt that because he thought something - it must be the case for all. In his mind he was 100% correct and therefore he could not be wrong - despite evidence to the contrary. This wasn't a stitch-up. It was the balancing of fact against fiction. I understand the committee's decision was unanimous despite their poles apart politics. Johnson ran out of road. His art of speaking counts for nothing when it comes to truth versus lies. No matter who you are - in the end that catches up with you. His argument that his misremembering things wouldn't matter because he felt people would accept he was following all guidance.....when at his parties and that behaviour was acceptable. I'm glad he has gone but don't forget who put him there and who enabled his lies and deceit.

To them, by nature of them thinking or doing it, MAKES it correct. ‘I am the state!’ A minor detail but a massive point of comparison between how the two of them think, and also act when they’re brought to account - they genuinely just seem incapable of understanding it, and in Johnson’s case that same state of mind we know goes all the way back to his childhood. If you haven’t read the comments his old Headmaster at Eaton made about Boris thinking he was special and the rules not applying to him - worth a read, the parallels to today are shocking!

Embarrassing. This man was our Prime Minister. He seems a stranger to the truth. He seems a stranger to basic honesty. He seems a stranger to honour and humility. There is (how I hate to say this) something of the Donald J Trump about his headlong, nonstop pile-up of lies and vacuous self-justification. This is grotesque.

If you look at his career from leaving university to the present day you will see that he has lied and cheated all of his working life. His current behaviour should not be a surprise for anyone. Any one with anysense would never have voted for him as an MP or Mayor of London.

Love or loathe him, but at least when Donald Trump was President, he did a lot of good for America and the American people. And there weren't any wars on his watch. Plus, because he's independantly wealthy, he couldn't be bought by the usual suspects on the take within Congress. What can you honestly say about Boris Johnson that's even in the same league. The man is a complete fucking wanker and should be taken to the gallows and made an example of. Him and quite a few others within the Houses of Parliament actually...

@@starmersbarber I fear he may actually be quite bright. He seems aware of his own powers of rhetoric and seems aware, too, that a good proportion of the population (electorate) will be charmed by the unkempt, bumbling, obese, clownish, classics-quoting persona he presents. I find him creepy, cynical, unpleasant and dangerous. Worryingly, many do not. I know men and women across many generations who will defend him whatever he does. Sad 😢

Remembering police officers issuing cruel fines and often brutally treating people FOR WALKING outdoors or VISITING/HUGGING their loved ones, people getting into trouble in courts just and only for TRYING TO LEAD NORMAL LIFE, all those signs telling drivers "STAY HOME - SAVE LIVES" (I got into serious f...ng depression, being a driver and eventually starting to wander - "what if it is true and I am killing someone, just doing my job?!"), I have completely lost the last shreds of trust and respect I have had for this corrupted, rotting system, of which only and sole goal appears to be for one group of people oppress another group of people. :(

NO government official or party would follow their own rules/guidelines and would do the same thing. I choose not to vote because regardless of any party in the commons, they are all prats! So really, no one can favour a party or person as PM because they ALL suck, break rules and line their own pockets at the expense of the nation.

"Boris really has adopted a disgracefully cavalier attitude to his classical studies. [He] sometimes seems affronted when criticised for what amounts to a gross failure of responsibility (and surprised at the same time that he was not appointed Captain of the school for the next half). There's a term for this kind of person who has a fake nice persona. Narcissist. They're horrible people. Abusive, belittling, blame shifting so and so's. I know, my foster father was one.
