Hi Robbie, yeah sadly a very common issue, that I've seen on loads of side skirted Leon's. I'm afraid I've no suggestions to solve the issue sadly, but I'm hoping someone can shed some light on the issue and offer a few tips for you 🤞🏻

Cheers Tim!! 👍🏻 Not off for it's MOT just yet, I'm actually out in my garage just now in the cold, doing some bits on it. The more I delve into it the more I feel needs sorted 😅🙈

What did you clean the coilpacks with? Great video wish you had more uplaods to watch
@NorthCoastWorkshop
6 ай бұрын
Thanks Chris! 🙏🏻 Yep it was WD-40 branded contact cleaner (I forgot to leave the clip of showing it to the camera before spraying the coils 🙈) it then appeared a moment later for the coil wiring harness. So yeah, a quick scoosh, then wiped with a microfibre, just to keep the metal body, and inner contacts, free from debris or any corrosion build up! 👌🏻

Hey, Is your cupra r tuned or is it stock? I am looking to change my spark plugs to my cupra but i am not sure which one to chose. Thanks, keep up the good work!
@NorthCoastWorkshop

Hey there! Yes my Cupra is tuned, it's stage 1, running 327bhp. These spark plugs are perfect for it, and are suitable to use on cars that are even 400+ bhp 💪🏻 Thank you for watching 😊

Hiya mate i noticed sone cream on your oil cap does that mean your rubber on cap is on its way out . As youll no these engines have a bit of blow by when cap is slightly off
@NorthCoastWorkshop

Hi mate, yeah there's some of the creamy stuff under the cap 😅, but fortunately it's just from short journeys. It's only 10 mins to my work, so the cold starts generate a little moisture in the system that creates this residue. A long spirited 30 min drive gets rid of it all 😁👍🏻

Whats the difference between a TFSI and TSI?
@NorthCoastWorkshop
6 ай бұрын
Ooooooh, now you're asking!! 😅 I'm not 100% sure but I think this is a few of the differences.... TFSI was the EA113 engines and TSI was the newer EA888 engines. TFSI is timed with a belt and TSI is timed with a chain. TFSI is direct injection into the cylinder, TSI is cylinder and intake injection. And there's probably a few other differences, visually and mechanically, pretty much the TSI (EA888 engines) were just a newer slightly better revision of the older TFSI. It's like how the TFSI was an improvement over the older common 1.8T engines which Nick explains really well in the vid linked here kzitem.info/news/bejne/jpqGn4R3oJVngqQsi=Aswk50_k2HwH8rQG Hope that helps 👍🏻

What’s the tool called that you used to take the spark plugs out?
@NorthCoastWorkshop
5 ай бұрын
Apologies for not listing it properly in the video, I'll include a link to the item in the description for other viewers too. But yeah, it's a 16mm spark plug socket, they vary between a rubber gromit inside that holds onto the spark plug or they are magnetic. A lot of large socket sets actually come with this included separately. Hope that helps 👍🏻

@@NorthCoastWorkshop Mate I’ve got a seat Leon mk2 2011 2.0 petrol tsi fr dsg, would my car use the same parts as yours for a service, just trying to figure out all the tools you’ve used also have you got a link for the cam follower?
@NorthCoastWorkshop

I wouldn't be 100% sure if the TSI would be exactly the same service parts as the TFSI. All my parts were from the autococ app, so when you pop you full car details in, the relevant parts appear. That's where my Febi bilstein cam follower was from as well 👍🏻 (Delivery is about 2 weeks roughly to the UK, but worth it for the savings)
