I'm about to construct one of these. To be fair Dunster do say that it needs to be on a level surface. Our garden has some slope to it. I queried and they suggested it will need some form of foundational frame - similar to something you might put in to support a deck. I'm planning to put it together and build such a support frame once I've finalised its position.

Just as an update to this, I built a small deck for the main fort to sit on - to ensure it was level - it was then easy to screw the fort down to the deck - it’s very secure and perfectly level. I had to build supports for the ladder and end of the swing frame to bring them up to the same level as the fort base, these were just a couple of 4x4 posts set in the ground with postcrete with a deck board on top. Finally I had to replace the standard slide with one designed for a platform at 1.5m high rather than 1.2m due to the height added by my platform and the slope. A lot of extra work but by no means Duster’s fault - it was my choice to locate the fort on a slope. My only gripe is the lack of pre-drilled pilot holes in planks/slats etc but I built some jigs to speed up the process while keeping it nice and neat.

Do you have images, support deck would work but then leaves wood in places kids can fall, if built onto decking the fall could be a painful experience. Could ask why dunster just don't have option to buy legs with a couple of inches longer to allow them to go into the ground and level it without building a rig. Keen to see an image or video, will happily put one up showing a solution www.climbingframeinstaller.co.uk

Seems very much be an issue caused by your customers rather than by Dunster. What would you recommend they do differently to accommodate people with uneven ground?

Very much is customers gardens are not built like flat warehouses. Reviews are not aimed to demote dunster, it's a live review from issues found while building the frames and how tolerant the sets are to "normal" life. If we struggle to have a decent finish on the few we do how many are wrong and dangerous. Playsets don't need these issues and can build flat packs almost ready to assemble

Hi , i'm from Belgium , is the fatmoose playing ground a good deal for the money? does this wood have splinters in them and so is it rough? or is it smooth wood? I'm trying to figure out the quality thanks for youre vids

Wood a soft smooth. Swings are the issues and tend to break quickly. Attached on the top of the a frame is a poor design and often how it joins to the playset onto an upright on the tower and no angle supports aren't great for kids over 6 swinging a lot
