Lindie, that was so helpful and powerful. Simple yet straight to the point. Thank you so much for sharing such a valuable insight on beating a slump and realign all the "doing" to a commitment that will last. You're amazing!

I love the video! These are some really good tips! I think also another reason why it might be hard to do something (on top of fear and perfection) is if you're trying to do too much at once - more than your ability/capacity.

Thank you so much for your video, Miss Lindie! You helped me immensely! I was always constantly focused and really motivated with studying while in Elementary school and High school (I always got top scores, I wanted nothing less than 90/100), but when the pandemic arrived I found myself completely out of my usual habits and not being able to keep up with my studying anymore, it was really frustrating. Things escalated when I moved abroad for University and I was absolutely shocked seeing my grades extremely close to the minimum required. Now that I saw your video, I was able to remember some things I always used to tell myself while studying in Elementary school and High school, I didn't think I could ever bring back my thought patterns and mindset from that time, so I was feeling very emotional and decided to write this comment hahaha. Thank you again for this video, Lindie!

Hi Lindie! Thank you for this insightful video, some very timely advice in there I can use as well. 🙏🏼👍 Good luck with your dissertation and research. 💪👣Maybe using or making your own research diary might help you as well to keep going/on track with your dissertation/research, to record and see how your own thoughts and ideas (in relation to the literature and other works) develop over time, finding your own "academic" voice as well. 😌 加油!🍃

Lately, what's worked for me is making sure I've got something in mind for my brain to chew on while I go for my morning walk and drink my morning matcha, usually before breakfast - it could be some writing I'm working on, code, the grocery list... whatever needs doing. This really gets my brain working, very mentally productive - then I get in from my walk and I'm just itching to get productive, but resisting the urge while I eat a little brekkie. Then it's go time. 😂 Also, I had one day recently that I was so consumed in my creative thinking process during my morning walk that I just walked the loop near my house a few times instead of walking my usual route. I was so confused when I looked at my watch and saw I'd been in the loop for over twenty minutes. 🤣
