I've been binging your videos since finding you recently and this one really resonated with me. I love the format of vlog style and conversational while also being informational, and the summary at the end was perfect too. This is a format I'm hoping to do on my channel, so it was so inspiring for me to see it pop up today! Your videos have been so helpful as I start my channel. Thank you!!!

Thank you Katie! It’s videos like this that keeps me going. When I think I’d done what the other creators constantly reminded me - to make sure I do a good thumbnail and description - yet my channel is still not growing, I felt like giving up. Then I decided not to compete with others, and instead started incorporating vlogs. My niche - luxury, especially handbags - is a small one as it is, and there’s only so many unboxings of luxury handbags that I can do. So, in doing things differently, I hope I can enjoy the process and stop worrying about getting views and subs, and just hang in there and hope for that one day when something takes off.

❤ I get tired of setting up cameras and recording, checking to see if content looks good and works, transferring files, editing, writing caption, then finally posting. I create farm/homesteading content and most days I just want to go about my routine without recording 😭
@HannahMorenDraws
Ай бұрын
setting up cameras and recording is my biggest hurdle too. I have an art youtube channel and it just feels like an extra setup that slows me down from wanting to paint - so I usually dont do it. It doesn't help that I work at home and dress like a slob and it's summer and i'm just greasy and hot all the time. So to *shower* and *put on makeup* is just another obstacle....
@ashleybarnett7031

@@HannahMorenDrawsI agree. I love the process of what I’m recording, not the recording and editing itself. I think that’s a huge difference.
@HannahMorenDraws

@@ashleybarnett7031 I agree. But I do like the product when my videos are done - so I'm still trying! And I hope maybe one day I can outsource at least the editing... But tbh it's the recording that's the hardest. I just want to get to the work - not the setting up

I love this video and I love your videos in general. I also think it's important for someone whose target audience are creators (yout) that your content most often not is TOO good cause that can create too big a gap between you and the people you're trying to inspire. The point - don't be too hard on yourself that you're not constantly re-inventing yourself. I understand you want to do that for YOU but I don't think your audience needs that. Not primarily. I personally think you're one of the most unique and relatable and personable creators out there. So thank you for being you and being authentic!

If I ever have more money, I def will check out your creatorclub (membership) because I think you give SO MUCH value. I like these chatty videos which are a bit slower and not as scripted as the others. I think you are more real, if you know what I mean? I know no one is real on youtube (I make videoss myself, so i get that) but I get the feeling you are closer to me (the audience) with these vlog-kind-of videos! And the last part hitted so hard! I always want to make really good videos and so on and most of the time I procrastinate so much when it comes to making videos. :/

This may not be a good video for everyone, but I'd love to see what it looks like to hire someone for editing. As in, how do I even do that? Send all the video files at once, and they just figure it out? Do I have to organize the video first? Have a script? How do I make sure the editor knows what to do and reduce their time?
