@@DeltaAssaultGaming I liked it a lot. Not as much as the first one, I think they overdid some of the comedy and jumpscares, but I was still invested in everyone's journeys. The end got me emotional.

It's not a sequel, it's the second part of the same book which was like 900 pages. Actually, the book alternated between the kids plot and the adults plot.

Years ago, I worked as a security guard in a condo complex on the edge of a swamp/marshy area. When it would start to get cold, a fog would come in an cut visibility to a few dozen yards/meters. In the middle of this wetland was an AM radio station that had an audience of only me. (One night I was caller 1 and caller 2 for a contest. I made the calls 10 minutes apart.) When I say "the middle," I mean it was only about 100 yards/meters from any other buildings, set down in a flat area surrounded by march and swamp except for the road that went down to it. It was technically in the middle of a huge metropolitan area, there was just no way to build anything at that time. It felt like it was lot more isolated, especially when the fog came in. I'd call up the DJ and chat about music and stuff since we worked the same shift in the same swamp and neither of us had anything else going on most nights. He'd also read a lot. He told me that the broadcast booth was on the upper floor of the building, but the bathrooms were on the lower floor. When he was reading IT, his boss slipped back to the studio around 2 AM and FILLED the lower part of the stairs with dozen of white balloons and one red one. The red one had a sting tied to a note: "Pennywise knows you're alone." As pranks go, I think that was pretty damn good.

Fun Fact: When I videotaped the TV miniseries, and labeld it "IT", a few years later I loaned it out to a friend, and it came back (I suppose I should be lucky for that, at least) wearing the same label I'd put on, now modified in pen to read I.T.

The people of Derry didn't see IT as children. The clown is only part of IT, the part that directly interacts with things. IT itself kinda possesses the entire town all at once and exerts a subtle influence on the people who live there and things that happen. It makes all the people have to mind to not get involved and look the other way.

Great reaction! I totally enjoy you enjoying Richies 90s talk. When I was young then, we were exactly talking like that 😂! It (muahaha) is a good movie. Can't wait till you react to the second one. I recommend "The Curse of La Llorona" (2019) and "The Nun" (2018) next ☺! Oh, and not to forget "REC", a Spanish horror quadrilogy, if you haven't seen it already 😉.

One of my favorite lines from the book was about Ritchie Tozier. Granted, it's better with the context, but I think it fits him generally: "This was Ritchie's, admittedly unusual, method of 'turning on the charm.'"

I personally felt the movie was amazing. I also felt the 1990 series was borderline unwatchable. It was unintentionally silly at times, not scary at all and not particularly memorable. Pennywise in that version had a Bronx accent and sounded like a cab driver, not a monster. I realize my opinion is in the minority but I'll just say I have no fear of clowns so I had to rely strictly on the material given

I remember watching it (muahaha) with a good friend, back then. I was 14 and he was 10. I am freaked out by this show. 🤡 Clowns....you need to watch the 2nd chapter so that you can witness the entire experience. Blondy, you look like Harley Quinn. Just need to dye your hair blue & red. There's a question ❓ for you, who would win, the Joker? Or Pennywise? Dear Blondie, you confront fear 😨, you don't flee, you strategize, organize, - confront IT , this Pennywise, - destroy the evil 🤡, forever. Conquer your fear 😨 & you will be victorious.

I recommend to watch both the sequel and the IT Miniseries from the 1990, there is big differences from both the movies and the Miniseries. I really do love both the different versions of Pennywise.
