In the mid-1980's, my high school basketball coach recommended those sneakers to me to help improve my vertical. I actually got a pair and went through the entire training regimen. Brian Cranston happily tells the story that when he was rehearsing the dentist scene, the lighting guy said to him, "You know what would be really funny? What if you take a big huff of gas before you put the ask on Jerry." Cranston agreed and that take made the final cut. He says members of the crew often come up to him with "improvements" and that was the only one he's ever used.
