I only just found your channel, but I’m so glad I have! My entire life I’ve had the feeling that I had a twin somewhere out there. We bear no resemblance physically, but my name is also Jerry, and listening to you talking exactly matches how my kids describe how I speak! And though I’ve never worked on watches I have worked on some fairly complicated things, (my username has a clue.) All kidding aside, I’m going to LOVE binge watching your videos, and between you and Wristwatch Revival I might just convince myself to take up a new hobby instead of yet again upgrading my PC! Thanks!!!

Thanks JT for the support and really hope you enjoy all my videos. I do try to keep it lite, although there is a lot of technical stuff to follow. There are a lot of videos so please get up and stretch from time to time:)

For all those questions and hundreds more that you haven't even thought you may have- tune in next week- Same Batman Channel- Same Batman Time! That Waltham is sure a beautiful looking movement. The craftsmanship of those days long ago is unbelievable. Did you get your hair cut in preparation for the upcoming golf season? I always have found if you look good- and feel good- you play much better. Your obviously in a good mood today- so Keep Smiling!

Wish I had that stake in my set. Used a hair instead and my table snuggged up nicely.

I thought of using a hair as well as years ago I did that with a cannon pinion, until I found the correct method.

I have one of those 3-sided punches in my staking set. I had no idea what it was for until now. I would enjoy seeing a video about what the rest of the punches, including stumps, are designed to do. Thank you for another great video and the magic tricks 😀

I had an Elgin that would stop face up. It turned out the pallet fork would rub against the roller table. It was an early 18 size Elgin that had a change in the staff. The staff came with either a long or short hub. The long hub was used instead of the short one. I have a PDF file from K&D showing the use of the punches and stumps in a staking set. If I can find the file, I will send it to you.

Thank you very much bun. This is a real conundrum. I did have to replace the roller table on this watch or actually I just staked on the old roller table as the diameter of the bounce staff was ever so slightly smaller. I'm going to re-examine this pocket watch this weekend to see if it is something to do with the end Shake on the pallet Fork or perhaps the jewels not accepting the pivots completely

Congratulations on the jewel setting tool. Would have been handy on my watch, which is running really well. I now have an Illinois watch that's running better than my Hamilton. I should probably contact you in the fall to do something about that.
