I have used Ty's math basic and advanced courses, along with his podcasts, to study for my water and distribution exams, and it has paid off big time. It's been a huge helptto me in obtaining all four Colorado water treatment certifications and 3 levels of distribution. I absolutely suggest you purchase the math programs as a way to review and/or learn. You won't be disappointed! Thanks for all your work, Ty!

I find it difficult and confusing because I studied the American water program at California State - Sacramento and under the imperial system but am going to be writing my exam in Canada under the metric system so I'm confused over how to solve math with the differing conversions ect!!

Just to clarify the formula for "Draw down" = static level - pumping level. In your example, you have pumping at 95 and static at 80, are these numbers flip flopped? Static should always be the higher number, right? Thank you.

Hi Juan, What is confusing you is that you are thinking in terms of measuring from the bottom of the water up, but we actually meaure from the top of the well DOWN to the top of the water level. So when measuring down, static water level would be the first measuring point, and a lower number. As you pump and the water level drops, the top of the water would be farther from ground level, and so the pumping water level would be a higher number. Hope that helps to clarify it.
