The root of the problem here is not climate change. Water is a renewable resource. If a system keeps extracting but doesnt hold space for water cycle to recharge , water scarcity is just a natural consequence. If the ground water table doesnt get recharged , start building surface water lanscape features to hold water that comes as precipitation. Slow the water that down , let it seep in . Increase the land surface where water can seep down , improve soil organic matter . For every 1 percentage increase in soil organic matter it holds 20000 more liters per hector.

Heating of the atmosphere results, among many other things, in increasing the atmosphere's capacity for holding water. As the atmospheric patterns change due to global climate change, the redistribution of atmospheric water changes. This means that many land areas which have had adequate rain patterns before, now face long periods of drought; conversely, those areas which historically have had low annual rainfall now are faced with an overabundance of rain, resulting in floods and severe erosion. Because the Earth is over 70% covered by water, most of this redistribution of water falls over the oceans, contributing to the dilution of ocean water salinity. Adding to this is fresh water from melting glaciers and the poles. This change in salinity contributes significantly to the disruption of ocean currents, and thus the weather patterns all over the world. Climate change itself is natural; however, the speed at which it is changing now is not natural, and as the vast majority of scientific study shows, this rapid increase in climate change is clearly due to human activity, far exceeding our current political willingness - and possibly our ability - to adapt in time to avert global catastrophe.

Collect this water in a separate system send it to the nearest (1km) of a common well in a created pound to harvest this water. This will be filtered by the soil and the ground waterlevel will rise. All you need now is that the city hall employees move their butt and make it happen. Otherwise the city will have very thirsty angry citizens. The ball is now in your courtyard. The summary of climate change is easy. It is the change of humidity in atmosphere, which produce between the (land)and the(seas & oceans) on the other hand... Occurring of rains, snow, storms, and floods at time and in unexpected places, confirm my theory(the change in the directions of winds)which must be balanced... How to reduce the heat of the earth and atmosphere? We must supply the earth with a natural cooling places... Results: ---------- 1- To balance the water vapor which produces between the( ground)and the(seas and oceans )... 2- To balance the pressures of the air in the atmosphere... 3- To balance the directions of winds which caused the climate change... 4- To control upon the storms and harricans... 5- To revive the the first theory of climate change (dynamic horizontal movement). 6- To balance the percentage of gases forming the atmosphere. Abstract : The energy that dominates the earth is very great, some of it is natural, like the heat of the sun and volcanoes, and some of it is human action, by cutting down trees, without replacing them and cultivating in their place... There are five forces that control or dominate the planet... 1- The first theory (horizontal dynamic movement) and its end... The occurrence of storms, rain, floods and snow, at unexpected times and places, is because of the expiration of this theory, which needs to be balanced... 2- The second theory (vertical dynamic movement) and its end... This movement or force controls or dominates the earthquakes, earth cracks, drying up of rivers and lakes, earth openings, mountain collapses, and the emergence of drinking water springs on the ground... It becomes out of control... These phenomena increased due to the end of this theory... The third theory: it is water that rotates the earth... The fourth theory: the Earth's axis of rotation has tilted 2° degrees... The fifth theory: The Earth has a new orbit... These studies had completed and sent on July 26th 2000 YOUSIF A TOBIYA FORCIBLY DISPLACE

You can really do better. Two decades ago the California state government recognized the downsides of drip irrigation and sponsored a research team at UC Riverside to field test more efficient systems. Drip systems lose water to evaporation because they release water to the surface of the ground, and drip systems expensive to maintain because wild animals learn to chew through the tubing to quench their thirst. Burying unglazed clay pipes is far more efficient than either digging furrows or drip irrigation, and there are systems such as ollas that Californians have been switching over to use. Also, California has rebate incentives to install rain barrels, homeowner cisterns, and to switch to low flow toilets. Local utility companies are under a state mandate to conserve so they give away low flow shower heads and faucets. The government also offers rebates for homeowners to switch from traditional landscaping to water efficient xeriscape landscaping. For more on the UC Riverside research, check the publication history of Professor David A. Bainbridge. Instead of any of these up to date measures, DW devotes a third of this documentary to dowsing. Facepalm.

Take water from the baltic de sal it and discharge the brine west of Denmark. The brackish (low salt level) baltic water can be desalinated and "brine" at the same salt level as the ocean to the west of Denmark can be discharged with no salt increase in the area. It could supply most of northern europe with the extra fresh water it needs.

@@CR-rm4iy What are you talking about, I did not understand your comment? I only suggested that due to the low salt level in the baltic sea fresh water could be extracted down to the salt level of the water where the "leftovers" is released. The difference is around 1-1.5% less salty water east of Denmark compared to the west of Denmark. That means you can extract almost 50% of the water volume as fresh water. The power for this should of course be from renewable sources.

Release beavers. Flooding and water storage problems solved. KiIIing all the beavers was a mistake. The water cycle doesn't function without them.
