Great job Tom. You certainly went above and beyond the call of duty on this inspection !!

Beautiful scenery. That water supply system looks like it would require constant maintenance and inspections by the home owner.

At least two to four times a year it should be checked. I agree.

I definitely would have held off on drinking any of that water until I found the source; check to make sure there isn't a decaying deer corpse floating in it first, THEN maybe get a drink on the way back down.

Agreed. You don't know the quality of the water you're drinking until you've verified that the source is not contaminated first.

Who puts that much effort into building a home out in that location and then just strings some poly line over dead trees for the water supply, ridiculous.

What exactly keeps the supply tanks/supply line from freezing in the winter? I assume it's just a summer home?

Constant flow under some pressure will lower the freezing point, but not a lot. If the water line was buried, it would insulate it some, but conversely hide damage from freezing if it occurs.

Seems like a lot of work, daily hike to check the water source - NO THANKS
@MonkeyJedi99

It would not need to be daily. More like two-four times a year.

Hard to understand what youre saying sometimes due to background noise. I bet there is some kind of mouth microphone that you could use to capture your voice while cutting out the interfering noise.

What kind of Jerryrigged garbage is this??! Looks like a 5 year old put that system together. If you have to do all that to get water to your house you probably shouldn't be living out there
@surfgreen60

The correct response would have been to tell the client they needed a water supply specialist/plumbing contractor. They didn't need an inspection, they needed a trade professional to correct the problem they already knew they had.
@brandonfrancey5592

@@surfgreen60 No, they need an inspection because people buying the house haven't even been up the hill. They are looking at the dock, the kitchen and the views. Ask them where water comes from and they will say the taps.

Octavio Morales Guerrero in shape or not! When you are hiking up the steep side of a mountain you are going to be out of breath! Your comment is frankly inappropriate! Their is absolutely no reason to insinuate that Tom Munro is in any way shape or form overweight or out of shape!
