It’s doing a good job. Should be rebedded around 3-5 years 7 max. Dad really liked these valves. Biggest problem we had was some jet pump wells not making enough water pressure to backwash the filter good enough and rebuilding the valve with new piston and rings on a few. Much cleaner than the potassium systems. Some media got so hard we couldn’t break it up to get it out of the tank so just got a new tank and media. Pressure washer could break up some of them but takes time. Iron Out powder works the best at eating rust but man don’t breathe it. When we bed these we would leave the valve off and tape a garden hose onto the distributor tube to clear the water up before we took them to install. Kept the mess at the shop. We used pyrolox media in ours with some gravel in the bottom to help keep the media broke up. Dad always hated the black tanks because you can’t shine a flashlight thru them to see how well the water is lifting the bed of media. Had to use gauges and rely on the good old packet test kit. We also always swapped out the 1/2 plastic male on the drain valve with a brass pex one and pipe dope. To many leak call backs on the plastic.

I switched from fleck to Clack ws1 valves because of the flow rate is rated almost double than fleck, I just change the injector nozzle for years I worked on those old flex still love them but gotten kind of spoiled on working on clack
@itsjavaman
Wow, you went through all that trouble to make a video.

Hi, What kind of media are you using for this iron filter?
@nickmarquez2024
How do you like the Fleck systems? Overall a decent option?
