Very nice and looks to be a good one for a "short night" at the easel. Personally, I prefer using a white "Gelly Pen" (brand's name) for white accents, like the stars, at the very end. I've tried white gouache, but the color often isn't very intense, with the color of the top layer showing through. Otherwise, I like this painting and your "vignette" style in the gradient is superb! 👏👏👏 Subscribed.

I love 3x5 cards for quick 10 or 15 minute study vignettes. I cut them out of 300gsm cold press sheets.

How do you prevent the paper from warping? I seem to have this problem frequently. The tape helps I’m sure, but what type of paper are you using? No matter what watercolor paper I use, it seems to warp some.

I use Arches, Fabriano Artistico, or Saunders Waterford usually 140lb blocks. With blocks the sides are glued down-this is built-in warp protection! Blocks are more expensive than pads or single sheets, but I love knowing I can apply tons of water without the sides popping up from under tape. Another option is to stretch your paper by soaking each side in water for 3 min, then stapling to a waterproof surface such as gatorboard. I keep it stapled down while I paint, and no matter how much water I use it will dry perfectly flat. This is my favorite method for working on large watercolor paper while saving a buck and using the less expensive 140lb paper. 300lb paper does not need to be stretched.
