Excellent work ... more than just interesting. And I do like the brief commentary you're giving with the development of the painting. As a newbie, I'm not only struggling with just getting paint on paper in the right places, but also with the whole thing of underpainting/first wash. Will you be covering this later or can you please point me to some explanations of this area? Thanks

Thanks William, glad you liked it. I may make a video on my first wash process at some point. In the meantime, you could look at books or DVD’s by David Curtis, he explains it as a “ghost wash”. Also there’s a great book by Jack Merriott, where he describes his “controlled wash” method. Hope that helps

Thanks Cecilee, I’m glad you like the video. A lot of my inspiration comes from Norfolk, UK, so there will be plenty more water and skies!!

Hello Chris, from a very cold Hong Kong. I agree about hearing you describe what you're doing because its interesting to know which colours you select.

Really helpful with commentary and reassuring delivery 😊. Look forward to having a go at this. Also like the insight into how you use your palette and the whole emphasis enabling watercolour to do its own thing. Thank you!
