How can I get the font to this cookie I made them but added a few other cookie cutters I'm so. Proud of them watching your videos has really paid off. But I love the font one in a melon where can I buy that.

Thanks for all your tutorials, I have been binge watching your videos lately! I noticed when doing the base layer of the cookie you usually add more squiggles of icing when flooding, could you please explain the purpose of this? Is it to make the icing layer thicker? Thanks

I love watching your videos. I have one question, which dehydrator you use? Thanks. Excellent job

Cute as always 😊 I wonder- can you put transfers in dehydrator to speed it up? I always want to try them, but the long drying time always puts me off.

These look lush, how long do sugar cookies keep for?
@CookieliciousNZ
4 жыл бұрын
hey hun, sugar cookies should last a few weeks, depending on how you store them. I usually heat-sealed my cookies individually in a cellphone bag, which keeps the cookies fresh for longer. If you don't have a heat-sealer then I would highly recommend storing them in an airtight container with parchment paper in between layers 😊And if you know the cookies wont be consumed for more than a week I would freeze them coz their shelf life is suspended while their in the freezer. They will keep fresh in the freezer for several months.

Ahh these are so cute! I do have a question though. Regarding the more intricate shaped cookies (the last one) I noticed that you used both outlining and flood consistency that time. But with the other cookies it looked like you used the same bag for outlining and flooding. Do intricate shapes require both outline and flood consistencies? Thank you so much! I always enjoy watching your videos :)
@CookieliciousNZ

Hi Kimberly, very good question & you are very observant 👍😉 I usually like to use one medium consistency to decorate most of my cookies, as it saves me so much time to just have to mix 1 icing colour in one consistency rather than preparing two different consistencies (one for outline & one for flooding). However in saying that, sometimes when you need to cover a large size cookie with icing (just like my last big plaque cookie with white icing base), it is best to use outline consistency all around the cookie then fill it with a thinner consistency icing (flood consistency) so the icing wont start crusting on your cookie while you are still trying to ice it (before you get a chance to smooth it out with a scribe tool)....does that make sense? Its mainly because the thicker the icing consistency the faster it sets, so if you are using medium consistency to cover a large cookie then the area that you start covering with icing first will start to crust before you finish covering the whole cookie, and you wont get a nice smooth surface. I hope that make sense, its hard for me to try to explain it in writing because English is actually not my first language lol 😅😋

Thank you so much for your detailed response! That did make a ton of sense! I tried to decorate a large cookie yesterday with medium icing but it did not look smooth because it started to crust before I could smooth it out. Thank you so much for taking the time to write your comment. Your English is also very good :)
