What a lovely soothing voice the narrator has - really kept me calm while I was covered in oil and coolant

Your video was of great help. It was very hard getting into all the bolts and took 3 hrs just to get the damn thing out. Thanks for showing reassembly clips. As it will be hard to remember what goes where. Thank you and wish me luck!😉... All done. Some advice to others; After removing engine mount, jack the engine up a few more inches on that side. This allows better access to the lower bolts on the pulley and water pump. Do not over lift or you will damge the mount on the other side.

god bless you for this video sir. looking forward to leaving my office and getting covered in coolant :)) when you say jack under the engine.. do you just leave the jack there in place or do you get it up and whack an axle stand in? Only because my brain tells me if i put an axle stand in everything is gonna drop down around the engine right? If anyone could let me know that would be great, not had to do a water pump before although i have jacked an engine up off the mount with a crow bar (yes my pitiful 64kg frame ached beyond belief the following day) to change an alternator once.

Hi. Can someone help. I have a ford smax 1.8 tdci with a same engine. The car has an issue with overheating and looses the water and starts throwing cold air through the heater after 30 minutes of driving. Do u guys think its to do with water pump or do u think its to do with the Blown head gasket.

thanks for the video, is it 1.8 TDCI is a reliable engine ? on another video they say that there are two distributions, a primary and a secondary, to do around 200,000 km, is that correct?

You know the 10mm bolt on the engine mount, the one nearest the belt underneath? Well I could not get my spanner or socket in there properly as space is tight, now the head on the bolt is rounded off, any ideas on how to free it now?

Great video, the access to the timing belt is awesome, after doing one on a VW Jetta 2.0, the Ford will be a cinch. Do you think you could have avoided pulling that front mounting stud, if you're removing the mount anyway? Or do you need to remove the timing cover to access one of the mount bolts?

Hi Sam, Thanks for the video. I have a 2008 Mk4 Mondeo 2.2 tdci 175bhp model. Would you know if this is a similar operation or is the water pump driven by the timing belt?

Hello Sam could you check the 3 videos I've uploaded and let me know what you think has gone wrong on my transit I'm starting to think water pump as the van over heated and is now making this noise not 100% sure
@FixitSam

Cant tell from the video but if it overheated the first thing you would be checking would be head gasket...
