Fifty years ago today, Tarkus erupted upon an unsuspecting world. The Emerson, Lake & Palmer epic stands just as relevant today as on the day of its release, with its musical and contextual themes depicting the futility of conflict.
On this momentous anniversary, we are pleased to present Rachel Flowers performing Aquatarkus with ELP Tribute Band "Brain Salad" for Carl Palmer's The Art of Giving in Oceanside, CA. June 30, 2018.
This performance is based on the version from the live album "Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends - Ladies and Gentlemen."
Many thanks to Brain Salad for giving Rachel this opportunity to perform the music of Emerson, Lake & Palmer live, and special thanks to David Smart for providing his keyboards, including the Modular Moog, and doing all the programming!
